1-48TACTIC call out for British Airborne

The main objective of this campaign is to make available new characters to play 1-48TACTIC with the British 1st Airborne Division faction!

We are trying to bring back to life that great game which has been frozen for immeasurable time by the dark sorcery of worldwide economy caprices! Yes, I speak of 1-48TACTIC the half-an-hour skirmish game that took the gaming world by storm just to get immediately buried under the aftermath of shipping and tariff madness. But alas, there is New Hope, in the form of that modern magic known as 3D printing! No more international shipping, no more import duties, no packaging that cost more than the product itself! Now you can make your own figures yourself, or you can have someone local making them for you. But for this enchantment to work we need enough magic mana to sustain it: this is what this call out is about! We need you! Help resurrect the greatest game that never was, join the crusade, let’s your voice be heard!

What you get

If you decide to support this campaign you will receive access to digital FILES ONLY. STL files for 3D printing the miniatures and pdf files for printing the cards. 

        NO PHYSICAL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED!

If you can not print your own figures and don’t know someone who can do it for you, just drop me a message and I’ll do what I can to put you in touch with someone who can.

All the files will be made available on googledrive, please be aware that access will require an email address connected to a google account!

This project will make available to you the files for printing the models and the cards for more new 1-48 TACTIC characters for the British 1st Airborne Division faction. The campaign main goal, reached at 200 EUR will give you the files for the character shown above + his stat card.
The more funds we can secure to develop the faction further the more new miniatures you will get, free!
If you can afford an extra dollar or two, and you really want to help all this to happen, feel free to contribute more! You can get as many as 6 new characters + cards with your pledge. These will be all unlocked if at least 30 people each contribute at least 7 EUR per character (that would be 42 EUR in total for all 6 characters + cards). More backers would reduce the amount each need to contribute, while bigger contributions would reduce how many backers need to jump on board. However how many characters you will get in the end depends only by how many stretch goals get unlocked, so every penny helps! In any case, you have my most sincere gratitude already!

Lots of people take to 1-48TACTIC once they know about it, but the real problem is to reach out to more people, which is becoming harder by the day on all socials. Because of this I’m asking you to please share out news about this project with your friends as much as possible and I’ve also included a couple of social stretch goals, which will be unlocked just by getting comments and likes, it won’t cost you nothing but will help immensely to reach out to new players!

48407 - Obergefreiter Sniper with scoped G43 semiautomatic rifle.
48408 - Jager with kar98k + hand grenades.
48409 - Jager with kar98k and panzerfaust.
That' 2 bucks for each miniature + card!

And then? what’s next?

The real ultimate goal of this campaign is to reach at least 50 backers, which is the minimum level to make the whole project sustainable. Hopefully with your help we can achieve this!
Assuming we can do it, next up will be a larger project: 1-48TACTIC Resurrection, a campaign to make available a full squad for a whole new faction!
That would mean making whole new uniforms, lots of weapons and gear models, skeletons and rigging, even before I can actually start to work on new miniatures. This is a substantial effort (at least a month worth of work) and I need your help to justify taking the risk of doing all that work with no guarantee of a return, that is why I’m asking you to dish out your hard earned cash now.

Dying to get your hands on a new faction?

Please do post your preference in the comments if you have one. I’ll do what I can to follow your suggestions, but consider that all the existing factions are all for the late North European Theater of Operations: from D-Day to Market Garden and the German counter-offensive in the Ardennes (the “battle of the bulge”). A new faction that is compatible with these can be realized on its own, which makes it a lot easier. As much as I would love to open new fronts, from North Africa to the Pacific, that would require to create at least two factions to allow for having an historical opponent, which means a substantially amount of extra work (twice as much in fact!). That said, if there is a clear general push for something specific I’ll be very happy to go for it!

NEVER HEARD of 1-48TACTIC? 

1-48TACTIC is a brutal fast-paced skirmish  tabletop miniatures game in 1/48th scale (but is playable with any miniatures really), which uses stat cards and tokens to make the player experience simpler through behind-the-scenes complexity, which result in a realistic simulation and at the same time a very rewarding  game experience!

So first of all, hop to https://1-48tactic.com/ and download the free One Page Quick Start Rules sheet (available in 5 languages) and all tokens and sample cards from the rules page. That will give you everything you need to start play now with whatever miniatures you may already have on hand.

Next, check out the facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/409935036605988 which is the best place to keep in touch with the latest news, ask questions, get answers and find other players. If you prefer there is also a dedicated forum at https://1-48tactic.freeforums.net/

In the rules page you'll find also sample game cards, markers and tokens and even templates and measure sticks which you can all download to get a full FREE Print-and-Play version of the game! Print out the Cards and Tokens pages, glue them back to front and cut them out. That's all, you can now play the game using any suitable miniature you may already have around... it won't look nearly as good as the real thing but don't worry about that, half way into your first game you'll be so hooked that you won't be able to resist buying in the whole amazing range anyway! :)

The core rule are also the foundation for a number of expansions, all true to the same vision for a fast, dynamic and realistically brutal game, but addressing other specific situations not yet covered by the basic rules. In particular we have released an expansion that covers vehicles and heavy weapons and I'm now working on rules for playing with larger forces (up to company level), which are currently being beta tested; these include new Character types like Officers, Medics and Radio Operators and related new abilities. I'm also working on a Campaign System designed to let you build up on your very own squad and follow it over time. A campaign gives your Characters the chance to gain experience and new skills while trying to survive through some of the toughest battles in human history. By backing this campaign you will also help the development of that!
