You have exactly 30 shifts. Thirty murderous days in the paralyzing abyss to survive starvation, exhaustion, the guards’ whims, and... to find a way beyond the palisade. The clock is ticking. If you don't escape before the thirtieth evening, this mine will become your voiceless tomb.

💀 What is 30 Shifts To Freedom? 

An atmospheric, grim Roll & Write Survival Experience designed strictly for a solo player. Delivered in a pristine Print & Play format, it blends the depth of TTRPGs, strict resource management (Ore, Swampweed, Pickaxe Durability), and a dynamic paragraph-driven narrative where every decision carries irreversible consequences.

⚒️ Core Gameplay Loop

• Morning Phase: Roll dice using the D66 system and face the unpredictable Morning Event Matrix (ranging from catastrophic cave-ins and rat plagues to nighttime lynchings in the barracks).

• Shift Phase: Assign Action Dice on the excavation map. Risk descending into the volatile depths for richer ore yields or act cautiously on the Upper Level to save your skin.

• Pain Management: When your Health drops into the red zone, your prisoner becomes Exhausted. Choose wisely: act cautiously with a permanent roll penalty, or push through the agony, increasing Guard Suspicion with every loud, painful groan.

• Night Phase & Black Market: Craft unique gear (wire lockpicks, stone grinders, fuse igniters) and trade with shady dealers. Manage Digger Trust carefully—if it drops too low, the block will brand you a camp snitch.

🗺️ 4 Paths to Freedom – How Will You Escape?

Develop the progression tracks on your sheet, check vital threshold spaces, and open the Paragraph Ledger to dedicated narrative entries. You choose your fate:

• TRACK A: REBELLION – Smuggle weapons, forge iron bars into blades, earn inmate trust, and organize a bloody, armed revolt against the garrison.

• TRACK B: GREAT ESCAPE – Dig a secret tunnel, brace collapsing structures, bypass flooded shafts, and sneak under the watchtowers directly to freedom.

• TRACK C: SABOTAGE – Blow up refinery furnaces, poison the guards' wells, and bring the colony to total anarchy to escape in the chaos.

• TRACK D: SNITCH – Sell prison secrets, betray other escape plans, earn an official overseer armor with a whip, and buy your freedom with absolute betrayal.

Failure in 30 Shifts To Freedom is not the end. Upon death or solitary confinement, convert your campaign progress into Legacy Points.
