Goal
The primary objective is to repair malfunctions and seal leaks in order to keep the Orbiter operational until the asteroid cloud has passed.

The secondary objective — if the situation gets out of hand — is to secure a place in one of the escape pods and save yourself.

The game ends in one of two ways:
1. The asteroid cloud passes and at least one life support module is operational.
All astronauts still aboard the station win collectively.

2. The Orbiter collapses, which can happen if:
  • The Orbiter runs out of oxygen
  • Two or more modules fail permanently
  • All but one astronaut have abandoned the Orbiter
If the Orbiter collapses, any astronauts who successfully evacuated in time win the game.

Gameplay

In the beginning of each round a new event card is drawn, informing about any new damage to the Orbiter. An Event card may also contain a message from Earth stating that the astronauts are permitted to abandon the Orbiter, or that the asteroid cloud has passed.

On their turn, each astronaut may perform two things:
  • Move
  • Action
These may be taken in either order, and both consume oxygen from the Orbiter’s shared oxygen supply.

An astronaut may move one, two, or three modules during a turn. The longer the movement, the more oxygen is consumed, so careful planning is essential.

An astronaut may also perform one action per turn. Actions include opening or closing a hatch, picking up an item, or repairing a leak or malfunctioning module.

In some modules an astronaut can do additional module-specific actions, such as:
  • Control module: Open or close any hatch on the Orbiter, or depressurise a module.
  • Communication module: Draw an Information card to gain useful knowledge. The information may be kept secret for one's own benefit, or be announced to everyone.
  • Airlocks: Begin a spacewalk to access the exterior of the Orbiter, repair external leaks, or reach areas that have been depressurised by asteroid strikes.
All movements and actions consume the limited number of available oxygen cubes from the oxygen meter on the gameboard. Any leaking modules further reduce oxygen levels. The main focus should therefore be on getting the life support modules repaired.

Each operational life support module adds oxygen cubes to the oxygen meter at the end of every round, allowing the astronauts to work more efficiently with repairing any other issues on the Orbiter.

If the situation becomes hopeless, an astronaut may choose to board one of the escape pods, which are special modules capable of returning them to Earth. However, not all pods are fully equipped for the journey, and preparing one may raise suspicion that you intend to save yourself.
