Which factions are included?

"Aces & Armor - Spitfire" includes the British Faction and the first German faction. The base game "Aces & Armor" includes the same first German faction, an additional second German faction and the US and Soviet factions. Each faction has 6 different unit miniatures with 2 copies each.

Enhance your game with the Aces & Armor: Special Forces Expansion and add 10 disruptive new miniatures for even more tactical variety and replayability. Lay mines, heal units in the field with the Medic, unleash devastating long-range firepower with the Railway Gun, and control the rivers with your Gunboat.

How many minis do I need? One set of faction minis consists of 6 different units. The entry pledge includes 2 sets of minis. You can play the game with 1 set of minis (short game) or 2 sets (longer game). During the game you can earn money (from captured factories) and use it to purchase new units. If you started the game with 2 sets of minis and want to purchase a new unit (e.g., an additional tank) you will need to replace it with a cardboard token until another one of your tanks get destroyed and this frees up the mini. If you have the extra mini add-on you have enough minis, even if you purchase new units during the game or want to setup an epic game with even more minis to start with.

Timeline: We plan to ship Aces & Armor: Spitfire in June 2027. Production should take around 2 months after Kickstarter transfers the funds, followed by approximately 2 months of ocean freight, customs clearance and local fulfillment. Delays are possible, but we fulfilled all four previous campaigns on schedule, including similarly ambitious projects.

Shipping Costs: Shipping will be charged after the campaign through Kickstarter’s Pledge Manager, where you can confirm your address and rewards and add games or upgrades. The chart below shows estimated costs by region; final rates may change due to transport costs, regulations or other external factors. Our past estimates have been very accurate, and we aim to maintain that record.

Save on shipping: Combining copies of Spitfire with other PKB Games titles in the Pledge Manager can reduce shipping costs per item.

Customs-Friendly Shipping: We offer customs-friendly shipping to the USA, Canada, UK, EU, China and Australia. We aim to arrange customs clearance through our fulfillment partners to avoid unexpected charges on delivery; charges payable by backers will be communicated in advance. Other destinations may incur local duties, VAT or handling fees.
We currently cannot ship to Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Afghanistan or Cuba.

VAT, Sales Tax & Import Tariffs: Reward prices exclude shipping and applicable taxes or tariffs. Depending on the destination, EU/UK VAT, U.S. sales tax, Canadian taxes or Australian GST may apply. These will be calculated by destination and collected through the Pledge Manager where possible; any other charges will be communicated before fulfillment.
U.S. tariffs: Additional duties on games imported from China may apply. We currently estimate $2–3 per game, subject to changes in regulations and final import costs. We will seek to minimize these costs and keep backers informed. Further background: Stonemaier Games’ tariff blog.

EU & UK Parcel Fees: The EU has introduced charges on certain small parcels sent directly from outside the EU. Since we plan to import in bulk and fulfill EU orders from Germany, we do not expect these fees to affect EU backers. The UK is reviewing low-value parcel rules; if direct shipments from China incur additional charges, we will communicate them in advance and seek to minimize them.

We are a small board game publishing company. Our ideas started with games we wanted to play ourselves but didn’t exist yet. So we were our first customer ourselves. I hope you share the excitement and we wish you hours of fun with our games!
