What Makes Adventures in Aetheria Special?
Adventures in Aetheria is a magical tabletop role-playing game designed especially for children and families!
Young heroes as early as age 4 can leap straight into the action, while new Game Masters get everything they need to run fun, imaginative adventures with ease.
Tales & Adventures
Designed with new Game Masters and elementary-aged children in mind, Adventures in Aetheria is a great first tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG).
The game mechanics are rules-lite and fun-heavy! No reading or math skills are required to play, but there are many opportunities to practice these academic skills alongside creativity, problem-solving, and social development skills.
Fans of my Tales of Aetheria book series will recognize familiar characters, creatures, and landmarks as they start playing together.
Never heard of Tales of Aetheria? The game can stand alone just fine! But if you're interested in the characters' story and lore of Aetheria, be sure to grab a bundle tier that includes the book and game!
Simplified Character Sheets
Character sheets are simplified (compared to 5e) with fewer stats to keep track of and symbology for our youngest pre-readers. These modifications empower kids to know their character's strengths (and weaknesses) and encourage working together as an adventuring party.
Choose from 8 pre-made characters or create your own unique character with our quick character creation guide!

Can young kids really sit still that long for a game?
This is the most common question I get asked when I tell people about the game.
Well, sitting still is not required. In fact, the adventures encourage movement such as silly dances, physical challenges, and completing tactile puzzles!
Plus, each pre-written adventure is divided into five to seven sections. Each section should take between ten and fifteen minutes to play through, giving you a great "stopping point" to take a snack break or leave the game for another day if little attention spans are waning.
What is the benefit of playing together?
I am a professional counselor, and I know the importance of connection and belonging for all humans-- but especially little ones.
Adventures in Aetheria was made with families in mind, and my hope is that it brings your family together to share laughs and make unforgettable memories.
