There is a hole in the world and at the bottom of the hole something has been dreaming of you for thousands of years. But that is not the beginning of the story.
- Journal of the Unnamed Stylite
All The Way Down is the next release in the MORE SKULLS series. MORE SKULLS is Tidal Wave Games' line of OSR adventures (and secretly an upcoming system). Journey into the heart of a lightning prison for the cosmic turtle God, Torshua Ah'lom the World Dreamer.
The Dungeon
There is a temple that dreamed of a great and sorrowful god, who bore the weight of all things on its back. But that is not the beginning of the story.
Written by seven writers in 30 days using the Dungeon Journaling method, All The Way Down is a 7-level megadungeon with 200+ rooms. Each writer created one floor, which was then studiously made into a coherent whole by Onslaught, who also did the layout. Graphic design elements will be done by Robin.
The Book
There is a palace that dreamed of every luxury and comfort that the world could offer to someone in pain. But that is not the beginning of the story.
All The Way Down is a 120+ page hardcover 8.5x5.5" book, printed in the USA or Canada by Mixam. We plan on using uncoated 60lb paper. We'll be shipping it from the United States, and each order will be hand-packed with love, and we'll be using Backerkit to collect shipping at a later time.
The book will be fulfilled digitally via DriveThruRPG. Fulfillment will be handled through risingtide.
The Team
There is a hive of crawling insects that dreamed of burrowing deeper into the fabric of the world until they broke through to something greater. But that is not the beginning of the story.
Onslaught Six is a 30+ tabletop game designer and recovering industrial musician. The head of Tidal Wave Games, he is the lead designer of sci-fi space bounty hunter jazz fusion RPG SEE YOU, SPACE COWBOY… as well as the megadungeon The Ruins of Castle Gygar. When not working on tabletop games, he streams obscure video games on Twitch and deals with his three cats.
A. Jordan Dewitt (he/him) is a queer writer and game designer from Birmingham, AL. He is one half of Glue Trap Games (ALL ON RED, Operation: Bad Luau). In his spare time, he teaches high school theatre. He has always loved mummies.
Annabelle Petrichor (she/her) writes things less frequently than she thinks about writing things. When she’s not thinking about considering writing, she is watching movies, petting her cats and dog, or hanging out with her partners.
Katt Kirsch is your favorite RPG writer’s most annoying friend. Best known for witches-on-the-run RPG Suffer Not, she has written and laid out numerous OSR adventures, zines, and community projects. She spends most of her time with her lovely spouse, analogue synths, and terrible rabbits.
Hawk Cohen (any pronouns) lives with their wife in Washington, DC. He has written the award winning EV. When she is not thinking about turtles, you can find it at the theater or in the kitchen.
Reece Carter (he/him) is a bogan tradie from Australia and kind of unknown within the world of RPGs. His previous claims to fame include, being an ennies judge for two years, bodyguarding a journo and a political dissident when they had death threats against them, distress signals, some successful group projects, and hang the dj.
Robin M. Rondel specialises in TTRPG writing, both in written prose and mechanical design. She has nine years of experience as a graphic designer, doing web, logo and icon design as well as book layout. She probably disagrees with you, but has been told that's "normal."
Tony Tran is an illustrator with a house style of Art Roulette. His TTRPG work includes contributions to Briar Bay, Resonant, Vesta Mandate, Meat Heads, ChainXLink, and more.
Brandon Yu/Chaoclypse is an illustrator working primarily within the tabletop RPG scene. His work's been featured in Ronin, Forbidden Psalm, Runecairn, Paint the Town Red, When In Rome and many others! In his spare time, other than running and playing games, he makes YouTube videos about art and RPGs and paints and sculpts miniatures.
HodagRPG has got a two day head start on you, which is more than he needs. Hodag's got friends in every town and village from here to Sheboygan, he speaks a dozen languages, knows every local custom, he'll blend in, disappear, you'll never see him again. With any luck, he has the Grail already.
Stretch Goals
There is a library that dreamed of answers to the nature of things, of the escape that knowledge could offer the lost. But that is not the beginning of the story.
There are no stretch goals for this project. If we surpass our goal, we will pay all contributors more money and we will explore (but not promise) some possible upgrades to the book.
The Promise
There is a society of the lost that wanted to tame and understand an ancient machine that worked ceaselessly beneath the world. But that is not the beginning of the story.
Tidal Wave Games fulfilled multiple Kickstarters for RPG zines before, but this is our first hardcover. This brings new challenges and potential issues, but we are confident we can solve them without breaking our timeline. We expect to have the PDF delivered by May 2027 and the physical books within two months.
Unlike previous crowdfunders, there are no other ongoing crowdfunder projects at Tidal Wave Games, so this will receive our full attention for the duration of the crowdfunder.
We also don't use AI generative models in either our images or words. We create 100% human produced art, and we always will. We also believe in the power of human rights and despise the tyranny of the modern world, so if you're not down with that, get out our faces.
Shipping Costs
There is a great machine whose makers tamed lightning and taught something impossible to know only pain and sadness. But that is not the beginning of the story.
As with our previous KS, our shipping will be collected later via Backerkit. These are the estimated shipping costs based on our previous Kickstarters and our store. All orders will ship from the United States; for orders abroad, we use PirateShip's Simple Export service, which enables us to keep costs down for you. (We are trying to reach shipping parity with all orders and hope that by the next MORE SKULLS release, we will have figured that out.)
- United States: $10 USD
- Canada: $10 USD
- Everywhere Else: $20 USD
Thanks!
There is a terrible sadness at the bottom of a hole in the world where something has been dreaming for thousands upon thousands of years. Our story began with it.
Thank you so much for your support. We wouldn't be able to keep making TTRPG stuff without you. We sincerely thank each and every one of you who's ever donated to our Kickstarters, or bought our books. Even if you can't donate to the Kickstarter, share the campaign with your friends! You can use the handy link http://kickstarter.tidalwavegames.com to spread it around!
Until next time: Take care of yourselves; take care of each other. Black Lives Matter. Trans Rights are Human Rights. ACAB. Keep your eye on the donut, not on the hole.
And stay gold,
--Onslaught
