Welcome to Amberley Cross
It's the prettiest village you've seen in years: honey-colored stone cottages, thatched roofs, a covered bridge over a slow brown river, and a market square where everyone knows your name by lunchtime.
This is the kind of small town where you could find yourself lured in for decades... except with over 80 villagers... why is it so quiet?
What it is
Amberley Cross: The Town That Isn't There is a horror adventure compatible with Daggerheart, built for about 4 players at Tier 2. It's designed to play in two sessions and covers three days of in-game time.
The first day is a genuinely good day in a lovely village. The players start to care about the people in it. By the third night, they'll need to decide what they're willing to lose to get out.
There's no single right answer. Your players can uncover the truth, fight a powerful enemy, try to save those who are trapped in the village, or end up living there for good.

- Several endings, driven by what the players choose and who they trust
- Handouts, including letters, a missing-person poster, and a church burial record

- Daggerheart adversaries and environments built for the adventure
- A table of strange moments to keep the village unsettling between the big scenes

Stretch goals
- [At $100 raised] Dream Cards: a printable deck of about 20 cards for the moments when the village gets into your players' heads. They're dreams of a childhood that never happened, words that come out of a player's mouth that aren't theirs, and the new life waiting for anyone who stays too long. Ready-to-print PDF sheets plus individual image files for virtual tabletops.
- [At $300 raised] 5e version: a full conversion of the adventure for 5th Edition, provided to all backers in addition to the Daggerheart version.
