Introduction
ANTS & CRUMBLES started as a simple idea on a kitchen towel and evolved into our favorite game to play. Because we love this game so much, we created a special edition just for this Kickstarter. This exclusive version features a large holographic box, premium oversized components and Kickstarter only content.
The main game will be in English 🇬🇧. Online rulebooks will be available in German 🇩🇪, French 🇫🇷, Spanish 🇪🇸, Dutch 🇳🇱, and other requested languages.
In Ants & Crumbles there are multiple ways to win. Before diving into this Kickstarter, here is a quick overview of the game’s objectives.

Review
A big thank you to Het Spelletjeskoppel for playing Ants & Crumbles and sharing an online review! We’re genuinely proud of their feedback, and even more proud of the amazing score they gave us: a 9!

The Expansions
We’ve created two expansions that build on ANTS & CRUMBLES in very different ways. One reimagines the battlefield, changing how the game feels from the ground up. The other layers seamlessly onto both versions, adding new risks and rewards without altering the core rules.
Together, they offer two different ways to expand the game, depending on how you want to play.
Battle in the Beehive is built on the same core gameplay as Ants & Crumbles, but the experience feels entirely different. With its new board and object system, it plays like a complete game in its own right rather than a simple expansion.
A Table Full of Perks & Hazards introduces a fresh layer of Perk and Hazard effects that sit on top of the existing gameplay. Designed to work seamlessly with both the Base Game and the Expansion, without changing the core rules.
Candy Tokens are dropped onto the board, tempting your ants with a sweet sugar boost they simply can’t resist. But every treat comes with a risk: these tokens can trigger powerful perks or nasty hazards.

Stretch Goals
We want ANTS & CRUMBLES to be the best possible game from day one.
Therefore, we decided not to keep gameplay elements or upgrades behind stretch goals. From the start, the game includes a premium box, a custom insert, and the complete gameplay experience, NO compromises.
That doesn’t mean we won’t celebrate success. If this campaign goes big, we’ve prepared 2 very special milestones!
Add-ons
Timeline
We aim to move as quickly as possible while keeping production and fulfillment reliable and well controlled. This timeline is intentionally conservative to manage expectations and avoid disappointment.
We have solid experience producing and fulfilling board games and we work with trusted manufacturing and fulfillment partners we know well. Based on that experience, we do not anticipate any issues in production or delivery.
If we’re able to move faster at any stage, we’ll communicate updates clearly and make sure that momentum directly benefits our backers.
The Team
Just Two Brothers Making Games
We’re Thomas and Tibo, the brothers behind Fried Potatoes Games, the studio that brought Ants & Crumbles to life. This is our second Kickstarter, and this time we’re returning with a true Kickstarter exclusive edition.
The game started on a kitchen towel and evolved into Ants & Crumbles: War at the Picnic Table. We’ve poured our hearts into every detail, and we truly hope you’ll enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed creating it.
Your support means the world to us and helps bring this game to tables around the globe. Thank you for backing our project.
Shipping & Tax
Our goal is simple: to take the best possible care of our backers. We’ll do everything we can to ship rewards reliably, quickly, and at the lowest possible cost.
This is not our first Kickstarter. We have successfully fulfilled previous campaigns and we already handle worldwide fulfillment daily through our own webshop. We’re very familiar with international shipping, customs, and last mile delivery, and we’ll apply that experience fully to this project.
Our regular games are more compact, but even with the larger Kickstarter editions we’ll optimize packaging, routes, and fulfillment partners to keep costs down.
Once final quantities are confirmed, we’ll actively negotiate better shipping rates with our fulfillment and logistics partners. Any savings we achieve will, of course, be passed on to our backers.
To avoid any disappointment, we recommend assuming the higher end of the estimates below. If shipping ends up cheaper, you’ll benefit directly.
Based on our current estimates:
• Pledge 1 will cost approximately €20–30 to ship to the US and EU
• Regions outside the US and EU will be around €10 higher
• Pledge 2 is expected to be €5–15 more expensive than Pledge 1 due to increased size and weight
If you order multiple pledges, shipping costs will be lower per item. We will fully optimize this in the pledge manager to make sure combined shipping is applied correctly.
These are realistic estimates based on our existing fulfillment experience and current carrier rates. We’ll continue refining everything to make sure your reward arrives smoothly and without unnecessary costs.
Thank you
