Présentation de la campagne
Arcane: The Eternal began as a game of pretend between myself and my cousins when we were young. I always was drawn to the idea of creating a game, especially a Trading Card Game, due to the joy we experienced spending our allowance on Pokemon packs. For years as a young kid, I turned the beautiful landscapes of Cape Breton into a fantasy/sci-fi world. Of course, as I aged, it became no longer a game of pretend and instead became comics I scrawled on loose leaf in class, or toy programs I made in Python. But I never forgot the feeling of unbound creativity between kids--the idea that you could do anything, and everything was exciting.
Now, I want to bring that joy back to this hobby that's been infested with scalping, anti-consumer practices, and shareholder value. We will never go public as a company, always focus on having affordable inroads into the game, and manufacture everything we possibly can within Nova Scotia. You get to support local and feel like a kid again!
Two years ago, this game was just a fun hobby design project. In those two short years, it has grown into a local juggernaut, being retailed pre-launch and selling at multiple locations across Nova Scotia. We already have multiple forms of regular Organized Play, and demand is so high that product simply won't stay on the shelves. When a new print run hits a store, its sell through is higher than the most popular TCGs in the world. Come see why people love this game so much, and get in on the ground floor of a quickly growing tight-knit community!
Arcane: The Eternal is easy to learn. A unique resource system makes it simple to pick up, and its combat is a brand-new twist on an old classic. If you loved TCGs in the early 2000s, you'll love this game. If you've never played a TCG at all, you'll love this game. And most importantly, if you miss what it felt like to open a pack on a lazy sunday when you were twelve, you'll love this game.
It's not only designed for fun and simplicity--the core rules may be simple, but it's one hit, and you're dead. Played casually, it's a quick game of checkers between giant scaly monsters and angel warriors. Played competitively, it's a deadly game of chess on a knife's edge. Our Competitive Leagues are open to anyone, and the meta is so diverse that almost any deck can compete--which means skill expression is paramount. The intersection of the combat and resource systems means that a good player can take down a legion of S-tier decks with even just a starter deck off the shelf.
And hey, if you like playing with friends, the game has tons of completely unique multiplayer formats, including a cooperative roguelike mode where you can "play through" a booster box like a dungeon-delving deckbuilder.
