What is the Project About

In 2010, Victory Point Games (VPG) unleashed a groundbreaking space combat game (Rated a 7.2 on BGG). Inspired by concepts from the hit game OGRE and the BORG from Star Trek: The Next Generation, designer Chris Taylor launched a title that sold out quickly. Now, Pungo Games picked up the torch and, with Chris, revamped and enhanced the game and every component, making it a full-size boxed game. Play Astra Titanus Deluxe in under 90 minutes and stay riveted as BOT-driven Titan ships hunt down your space stations and ships.

Astra Titanus Deluxe is a solitaire game. It can also be played cooperatively by two or more players. The game involves spaceship fleet battles against a gigantic alien BOT-controlled death machine. You command fleets of warships against a lone Titan or two. The Titan is controlled by a deck of BOT cards. Each BOT card specifies the Titan's exact action, movement, and target for that turn, ensuring its behavior follows strict rules without player input. The Titan relentlessly advances toward its objectives. Defeat the Titan before the objectives are destroyed to achieve victory.

This David-versus-Goliath struggle thrusts your planetary defense warships against the overwhelmingly large Titan, intent on destroying your way of life. Command your fleet as they swarm the singular Titan ship. Strike now before it shatters your starbase. You are humanity's last hope.

What's New in Astra Titanus Deluxe

Rule Refinements
* Added cyborg Titan rules for two-player games. The cyborg player chooses the Titan card to play from a limited hand and can make many (but not all!) decisions for the Titan.
* Revised the asteroid set up procedure.
* Revised the Titan cards. Added a specific deck for each type of Titan.
* Titan cards: Replaced specific ship targeting (DD, FF, CA, etc) with generalized targeting (escort, capital ship, special, etc) to handle the new unit types.
* Titan cards: Removed the recharge and repair cards. Added those actions to various cards.
* Missile icons are now triangles instead of circles. Triangular counters are missiles and circular counters are drones (fighters).
* Missile speed slightly nerfed. More missiles in play. BCH and BC upgraded to carry a single missile each.
* Removed the "remove the first missile die when attacking a Titan with defensive lasers" penalty. Added two missile damage tables, one for a defended Titan and the other for a Titan without DLs.
* Added point-blank attack advantage for TDF attacks.
* Titan "dead-in-space" repair happens before Titan movement. Titan repair action timing changed.
* The TDF repairs fewer ships each turn, but has a better chance of success.
* Limited missile reload at objectives.
* Map aspect ratio changed, updated location hexes.

New Content
* Three new types of starships: Carriers, Electronic Warfare Destroyer, and Strike Cruiser (experimental).
* Interceptor drone squadrons (fighters).
* Four new scenarios.
* Random scenario generator for unlimited replay.

The game is played over a series of turns, with each turn divided into nine phases. Follow the Sequence of Play and play each phase in order.

Sample Game Board

During a turn, the player commands a fleet of warships, deciding how to move and attack.

The Titan closes in, as Capital Ships and Drones launch at the relentless enemy in defense Station Tau.

The Titan (4 different Titan ships included in the game) is controlled by a deck of cards. A card determines the Titan's movement path, targeting instructions and other actions. An optional Titan player can make some of these decisions.
