Between mountains and jungle lies a small town. Life here seems simple. Neighbours know one another. Stories travel from house to house. Everyone has a role to play. And you are one of them now.
But there is something you should know before night falls. Not everyone here is what they seem.
This place is plagued by demons who walk among its people. The locals call them Supays and there are many old legends about these creatures.
So watch carefully. And be careful whom you trust.
Ayakucho is inhabited by an unusual collection of mysterious figures, of them bringing their own personality into the game. Together, turning each evening into its own little story.
In Peruvian tradition, Supay is associated with beings of the Ukhu Pacha, also known as the Inca underworld.
In our town, the Supays have found an excellent hiding place: by taking a human shape.
They will try to convince you that they are just an innocent bystander, a pleasant neighbour, an old friend.
Ayakucho is not just fantasy — it’s a real city in the Peruvian Andes. The game’s designer grew up with stories that inspired its world; transforming memories, tradition and a 'pizca' of imagination into the game.
This game is our stories, travelling through you and beyond.
Ayacucho is a social deduction game, a game in which information is incomplete and players must figure out who they can trust by observing behaviour, discussing, bluffing, accusing and voting.
If you’ve played games such as Werewolves, Secret Hitler or Blood on the Clocktower, you know the thrill: Someone at the table is lying. The question is who?
If the campaign succeeds, we will donate a collection of board games to children and teens in vulnerable communities across the Andes and the Amazon.
The collection would include various titles from different publishers. We have initially thought about Dixit, Codenames, Wingspan, Catan, Decrypto, Catan and several games by Oink Games. We will take your suggestions.
How many games we can donate will depend on the amount of backers that choose the pledge tier Pay It Forward. We have estimated that it will be roughly 10% of the money raised.
Wilfredo would travel to Peru in the last quarter of 2027 to bring the games in person and spend 4 weeks teaching the kids how to play them, in collaboration with local organizations.
To be part of this, see the Pay It Forward tier below.
