BLACK BULL: British 11th Armoured Division
The Band of Brothers series returns to Europe with BLACK BULL: British 11th Armoured Division, a new standalone game focusing on one of the British Army's best-known armoured formations of World War II.
The British 11th Armoured Division was formed in 1941 and adopted the distinctive Charging Bull as its divisional emblem.
The game includes 14 scenarios following the 11th Armoured Division through its campaign in Northwest Europe.
The scenarios put the British player in command of the infantry, tanks and supporting weapons of the Black Bull against German forces in a variety of tactical situations.
The game includes:
- 14 New Scenarios
- 8 New Maps (4 double sided hard mounted 11 x 17 boards)
- 4 Sheets of New Counters (5 sheets total with markers)
- 2 sets of Series Rules
- 2 Playbooks
- 2 sets of Player Aids
- 2 ten sided dice
- Counter Tray
Everything required to play BLACK BULL is included in the box.
14 NEW SCENARIOS
BLACK BULL includes 14 scenarios built around the combat experience of the British 11th Armoured Division.
The fighting ranged from the confined terrain of Normandy to armoured advances across France and Belgium, operations in the Netherlands, winter fighting connected to the Ardennes campaign, and the final battles across the Rhine and into Germany.
8 NEW MAPS (4 hard mounted double sided 11 x 17 maps)
BLACK BULL includes 8 new Band of Brothers maps.
These maps provide the battlefields for the 14 scenarios included in the game and add even more terrain combinations to the Band of Brothers system.
Band of Brothers veterans will also be able to combine the new BLACK BULL maps with maps from their existing games, greatly expanding the terrain available for creating scenarios and future battles.
4 SHEETS OF NEW COUNTERS
BLACK BULL includes four full sheets of new counters, bringing the British forces of the 11th Armoured Division to Band of Brothers.
The counters provide the units and equipment needed to recreate the battles represented by the game's 14 scenarios.
For longtime Band of Brothers players, these new British units also add another major Allied force to the collection and open up additional possibilities when combined with other games in the series.
THE BAND OF BROTHERS SYSTEM
Band of Brothers is Worthington Publishing's tactical World War II game series.
The system is designed around the behavior of soldiers on the battlefield rather than requiring players to manage large numbers of artificial command points or constantly track complicated status information.
Units become suppressed under fire. Leaders matter. Fire and movement must be coordinated. Terrain matters. Armour is powerful, but infantry and anti-tank weapons remain dangerous.
The result is a tactical system that emphasizes battlefield decisions without requiring players to spend an entire day playing a single engagement.
If you already know Band of Brothers, you can get BLACK BULL onto the table quickly.
If BLACK BULL is your first Band of Brothers game, everything you need to learn and play the system is included.
Stretch Goals
$60,000 — CANADIANS and More IN NORTHWEST EUROPE
5 BONUS CANADIAN and More SCENARIOS
These five new scenarios will focus on Canadian forces fighting in the Western European Theater during World War II. There is a twist. These scenarios are designed to use maps, counters and other components from across the existing Band of Brothers series. That allows us to revisit the series as a whole and create new battles using the growing collection of Band of Brothers components.
The five Canadian scenarios will be included as a bonus scenario pack for BLACK BULL Kickstarter backers if the campaign reaches $60,000.
IMPORTANT: Some or all of these bonus scenarios will require components from other Band of Brothers games. They are bonus scenarios for players who own those games and are not required to play the 14 scenarios included in BLACK BULL.
But during this Kickstarter we're also making it easier to build your Band of Brothers collection.
