How to play

The Creators

We're a brand new family publishing company for board games, children's books, and comics. Our mission is to spread the things that give our family joy to other's in the world. Well, we love coming up with and judging band names. The idea came from a bucket list talk between the owners, one had the idea for the game, the other has always wanted to create a board game. And our game was born.

BandArchy's™ journey

We started development in May 2025; at that time our game was named "$h!tty $h!tty Band Names", but with time we discovered big retailers don't like profanity (duh! 🙈). Changing our name to BandArchy™ could not have been a better move. This allowed our artist, Emily Huante, to create our characters/band, which has already become its own universe! 

Play testing

We have now play tested BandArchy™ with hundreds of people at local breweries and local markets. We iterate on the game as we go, making it better and better and better... The feedback has been excellent (constructive and positive!). 

We're going to GenCon 

Not only to learn as much as we can about game design, or to network with other indie designers but also to do play testing! This will be our last round of play tests before we finalize the game for production!

Our future

We have big plans over here at Punk 'N Lala with BandArchy™. In the future you can expect to see further expansions (Total BandArchy™,  Total and Complete BandArchy™), all of which will have their own comic book.

Our timeline

The Launch

July 28, 2026 will be the first day you can back BandArchy™. We'll be open for 35 days. The last day will be August 31, 2026.

Manufacturing

Right now we have 2 copies of the game (both are prototypes made in Lisa's basement). Our goal is to head to manufacturing by October 2026 so you can get an even better copy in your hands by Summer 2027. (That gives us about a month after getting funded to solidify orders with our manufacturers).

Getting your copy

Our goal is Summer 2027! As we understand it, it will take 6-8 months for the game to be produced and shipped to us. VIP Backstage Passholders will have their copies prioritized! We want you to experience BandArchy™ asap!
