Battle of Niså

Statut actuel
Battle of Niså was a naval battle fought on 9 August 1062 between the forces of Norwegian king Harald Hardrada and king Sweyn II of Denmark. It took place on the bay right outside of Halmstad, Sweden.
This tabletop miniatures game recreates the night of the battle. It includes over 100 miniature vikings (in 10 mm scale), a series of cool ships with place for 7 to 15 warriors each, a bag of scrying runes (who needs dice?!), a piece of rope for measuring, a deck of command cards for each side, a variety of tokens, a map, and the rulebook for the game.
The gameplay of Slaget vid Nissan is designed to be very accessible, but also tremendously deep and replayable. Each turn you play a card from hand to use one of the leaders in your army. That leader shouts out their orders to a number of ships within range, which then get to perform actions with all their warriors onboard. The miniatures move around freely between the ships and can fight, row, and do other badass things. When there's an attack, the player draws one rune for each fighter and throw them to see whether they hit or miss. The cards provide special actions and surprising twists and turns of the battle. To win, you must slay the opposing king or take over a number of enemy ships. Do not disappoint Odin!
Playing time is 45 to 90 minutes and the game support up to four players (in teams).
