Beach KWest

The Game

Objective: Collect 3 of a kind to match your KWester's need. When you have the KWester and all 3, you lay down a "stash." Whoever lays down 2 stashes first wins! (Only 1 stash wins for more than 4 players.)

Twists: There are also additional cards in the game that let your flip the script on your friends just when they're about to win. These "take-that" cards keep the game elevated to the very end!

• Beach KWest the card game! - a completely custom deck including 12 quirky, hand-drawn characters from the beaches of Key West!

Game Components: Durable 400 GSM Lid & Bottom Box, 52 water-resistant playing cards, and a special card limited to the Kickstarter run!

• KWester Stash bag (with secret pockets galore) - A beachy, quick-dry bag to keep all your goodies. Sure it holds cards, but it holds so much more...

• KWester's Map of Key West Neoprene Playmat- Hand-drawn Kwester's map that shows all the best nap and snack spots on the island- and even includes a map of Wisteria Island's underbelly. Keep it secret....keep it safe. Printed on high-quality neoprene with stitched edges, and includes a draw pile location for comfy gaming.

Process

Creation- I worked on the game for around 5 months in 2025, mostly working on drawing characters, layout design and playtesting. Once it was ready, I contacted various printers and looked at paper samples, waterproof card coatings, box materials etc.

Finally, I settled on the perfect materials and box design, sent the first run off to print and that's it!

Rough Timeline- 

• End of Kickstarter Campaign = ship out same week! 
• Delivery-> between a week and a month after campaing ends.

Delivery- Obviously, everyone wants to get their Kickstarter reward as soon as possible. With this in mind, I made the decision to go ahead and print some advance copies of the game to be able to ship right after the campaign ends! The rough delivery date is within a month of the campaign's end.

Shipping-I will ship to anywhere possible in the world using USPS or DHL. I will calculate shipping at the end of the campaign, and of course I will bundle!

Extras- The neoprene playmat and stash bag are both completely custom, so initial quantities are limited, but I have an arrangement with the manufacturer in place, so if the ones I have all ship out, the next batch will be on the way shortly after. I don't expect any delays, regarding fulfillment.

About Me

Name's Turner! I am a KWester at heart. A musician and artist living full-time down here in Key West, I strive to live a simple and creative life. My wife, Rochi, and I are both playing music every day, and the rest of our time is spent with our daughter, Inti, and 2 dogs- Buster and Praga. Obviously, before Inti was born 16 months ago, I had a lot more time for creative works, but now any extra hour I have during the week goes into games creation, drawing comics, writing and recording music & kid's books, and working on my larger card game- AstroYeti TCG (check out my other KS campaign.)  I created this game for fast-paced fun, and I hope you get a kick out of it! 

Like so many before me, I sailed in to Key West Harbor on a rickety old sailboat back in 2010. I had never been to Key West, and didn't know what to expect, but I quickly made friends with kindred spirits- after all, KW is a place where lost boys go to never grow up! Beach KWest captures the spirit of those wandering souls who call Key West home for awhile...
