We began our journey playing D&D weekly for over three years. During that time, the Dark Sky Universe—the vision of Lorin Lochridge—took shape. It became clear to us that this world was something that needed to be shared.

Our first Kickstarter, Beasts of the Dissonance Vol. 1, was met with incredible support. What started as a bestiary became something much more—it showed us that others wanted to explore the unique world we’ve been building.

For the past several years, here at Grinning God, we’ve continued creating 5E-compatible content with a single purpose: to share even a fraction of the Dark Sky Universe with you. Every monster, STL, encounter, and page has been another doorway into that world.

But this has always been part of something bigger.

Beasts of the Dissonance Vol. 2 is more than a sequel—it’s another step toward our ultimate goal: bringing the Dark Sky Universe fully to life through a complete novel.
