If you already know Bilico, you know all too well that a single millimeter off, a moment of distraction, or a gentle bump against the table is enough to send everything crashing down.
If you're new to the game, brace yourself for a dexterity and strategy showcase where you'll build skyscrapers and park cars... without causing a total collapse!

Think stacking floor upon floor is the ultimate challenge?
In the standard game, absolutely. But in this Gamefound Exclusive Edition, prepare to take your fine motor skills to a whole new level.

What's new in this edition?
The version of Bilico available during this Gamefound campaign differs from the current retail and webstore edition. We designed this campaign to introduce brand-new components that fundamentally reshape gameplay, pushing verticality and gravity to their absolute limits.

Here are the highlights of this edition:

Floors with Balconies
Alignment isn't your only worry anymore. These new floor tiles feature cantilevered balconies that dramatically shift the building's center of gravity, requiring you to slot tiny decorative elements inside them with surgical precision.

New Roofs with Helipads
A structural variation of the standard roofs, engineered specifically to accommodate the ultimate hazard.

The Helicopter
The centerpiece of this edition. A highly unstable element you must safely "land" atop your structures without causing a complete structural failure.

Sustainability & In-House Production
As with the original release, this edition stays true to our core values. Every single copy of Bilico is sustainably made:
  • 100% Plant-Based Bioplastic (PLA) sourced from renewable materials.
  • 100% Solar-Powered Production utilizing solar panels and battery storage.
  • 3D-Printed In-House for complete quality control.

How to Play

The game is straightforward and can be broken down into 3 simple steps:

1 Park Your Car
First, park your car in one of the available parking spots without knocking over any of the existing buildings. The cars serve as a round tracker, but they quickly become your first obstacle. The game ends once all 20 parking spots are filled.

2 Rise to the Top
Choose a building. On every turn, you must pick a building—whichever you prefer—and build exclusively on that structure. Start stacking floor after floor. Keep in mind that every building has its own construction rule: you must place 2 or 3 floors (or multiples thereof) before deciding to stop and score your points by placing a roof.

3 Scoring
Whenever you decide to end your turn—following the building rules—you must top off the structure with a roof. Each floor you placed will earn you +1 point. You can also trigger extra bonus points if you started building directly from the ground floor or on top of an existing roof.
One Wrong Move...
A slightly misaligned floor, a careless bump of your hand against a tower, a minor nudge of the table... it takes just a fraction of a second to send everything crashing down! If a collapse occurs, you take -1 point for every fallen floor—both yours and those belonging to other players. Remember: when a building falls, you only score penalties—no points are awarded for any surviving floors!

Gamefound Exclusive Mechanics in Action
Using the helicopter and balcony floors for decorations is completely optional, but incorporating them yields huge point rewards... assuming you don't trigger a total collapse!
If you want to add a touch of personal flair to your copy of Bilico, you can pick up additional vehicle sets for your parking spots, or opt for green space elements to build a city park.
And seriously, how cute is that Piaggio Ape? 😉

Language

Language-Independent Gameplay
Bilico is completely language-independent. Physical rulebooks and bonus cards inside the box will be printed in Italian for backers in Italy, and in English for all other international backers. Additionally, every copy includes a link to a digital rules hub, allowing you to easily view and translate the rulebook into your preferred language right from your browser.

How Bilico Came to Life

Bilico was inspired by a game I used to play with my daughter years ago, called "Stai Su" (Stay Up!).

The goal was to build skyscrapers out of plastic cups driven by dice rolls. You could raise buildings, tear them down, or erect new ones right next to existing towers. Just walking past the table ran the risk of knocking them over from the gust of air alone 😜. Fast forward to November 2025: preparing for a board game designer meetup, I wanted to bring something fresh and asked myself, "Can I capture the sheer fun of STAI SU in a board game?" That single question started it all.
