Bloodrite Magicka

Bloodlord Fedan Zukur summons you and other rival acolytes to the blighted Deathfields of Astran, where there exists a Temple of Blood used as a proving grounds for Bloodlord ascendancy. Your zealous sect, the Bloodcult of Azron, pays honour to the Blood God through the use of rituals and magickal powers connected to the Underworld, known as the Abyss. Your Blood God demands a new Bloodlord to command a risen army of fearsome warriors, and you must demonstrate your mastery of Bloodrite Magicka over your rivals to secure the revered rank.
Bloodrite Magicka is a 4-player competitive deck-crafting card game featuring 200 unique cards from which players will draft a deck to compete against one another. The game is built upon three tenets that define its design:
- Player Agency — Without restrictive mechanics, you are free to shape your own strategy, adapt your play, and execute the ideas you bring to the table.
- Card Interaction — Because all players draft from the same shared pool, your cards aren’t isolated; they collide, overlap, and trigger one another in unique ways.
- Game Balance — Every player drafts from the same power level of cards. That means no one ever wins because they happened to own better cards.
And once you purchase the game, you own all of the cards and its contents. This is not a TCG (trading card game), but rather, a tabletop card game emphasizing engaging game play with the tagline: Buy once, build forever.
The game consists of 200 unique cards separated into 5 card types:
- Summons: Cards in the field of play with attack and defense values, used to attack other players and summons
- Spells: One-time use cards that impact players and other card types
- Glyphs: Cards that wait and then react to a certain game condition being met
- Curses: Cards in the field of play that negatively affect a specific player
- And finally, Items: Cards equipped to your acolyte that grant situational benefits
In Bloodrite Magicka, every card (except Items) has a Blood Cost from 1–4, representing its rarity and strength. Players start with equal card ratios, ensuring balance and fairness, with 1 being the most common and least powerful, and 4 being the most rare and devastating.
Before each match, players enter a Draft Phase, drawing from shuffled card piles to build their decks. Once decks are ready, players begin the Game Phase, spending their Blood to Cast cards into the play area known as the Circle.
Each player begins with 40 Blood—the source of both life and power. Spend it wisely: when your Blood reaches zero, you lose. Victory belongs to those who balance risk, timing, and magicka mastery!
Purchase of the game includes all of the following:
- 200 unique cards — A complete shared card pool for repeated deck-crafting.
- 16 double-sided tokens — Reusable summons created by other cards.
- 4 double-sided guides cards — Reference the rules, master through play.
- 1 Abyss token — Marking the shared discard pile for all players.
- 2 game dice — Damage modifiers for resolving player attacks.
All game contents are stored in a game box, which includes an instruction booklet for the full game rules.
