Welcome to BoardNerds
What Do You Get?
Up to 78mm (a little over 3 in) card width. Fits cards such as: Standard Card Game, Standard European, Standard American, Tarot, Chimera. The module uses about 39g of filament, the extension - 16g, and the spacer - 9g.
Up to 78mm (a little over 3 in) card length. Fits cards such as: Mini American, Mini European, Catan, and Mini Chimera. The module uses about 40g of filament, the extension - 12g, and the spacer - 5g.
Optional TPU coaster (blue circle in the photo) for better grip on cans/bottles.
Because the base has printed springs, the lid holds onto the modules and can be easily removed. Lid height is equivalent to 1/4 module size - 5mm/0.2".
Spacer modules have tighter tolerances on the bottom holes. This way, they can snap to other modules and stay connected even upside down. Spacer height is equivalent to 1/2 module size - 10mm/0.4".
Store the pins inside the module, secured with the screw lid. The module can be printed either in one color or in multicolor.
Easy assembly and disassembly without any glue or screws. We will add precise assembly guides for the counter modules to the files.
The Dice Tower can connect to any other module in the system, including the hexagonal bowls. You can choose from two insert options (black part): large dice (up to 30 mm in diameter) and standard dice. Its height is equivalent to 6 modules - 120mm/4.75".
Look at the section below for more information. Most Stretch Goals are available to all tiers, but some are Deluxe-tier only.

Stretch Goals
We'll deliver all unlocked Stretch Goals 1-3 weeks after the campaign ends, just like the campaign files via Google Drive. The models are prepared, but we need a little more time to deliver a ready, well-tested product. The final Stretch Goals may vary slightly from the renders above.
We'll add more Stretch Goals during the campaign if needed! We're planning to prepare future ones based on your feedback!
Storage Unit
Assembly Guide:
The middle connectors (orange part in the pictures) are most durable when printed at an angle. This also lets you print them on smaller 3D printers. Standard on any 180 x 180 x 180 mm printer, like the Bambu A1 Mini or the Prusa Mini. The XL variant fits printers with at least a 200 x 200 x 250 mm working area. All models will be sent as STLs and pre-supported 3MF Files.
You can modify the storage unit to suit your needs, from a single middle pod to 7 or 9 independent module holders. XL and Standard versions are compatible with each other.
Files & Settings
All models (excluding the XL Storage System version) can be printed on 3D printers with at least an 180 x 180 x 180 mm working area, such as the Bambu A1 Mini and Prusa Mini.
The files were designed for standard FDM home-use 3D printers. For testing, we used a Bambu A1, Bambu A1 Mini, Bambu P1S, Bambu X2D, and Prusa MK3S+. Every module highlighted in the campaign, except the Storage System, is support-free. We've prepared all necessary supports so you will receive ready-to-print files!
We recommend using a 0.4 mm nozzle. For layer height, we suggest 0.16-0.20 mm for most files, and 0.10-0.12 mm for the Counter Dial to ensure clean print quality. We suggest using 2 walls with 10% gyroid infill for the modules and 2 walls with 15% gyroid infill for the Storage System.
For the 3D printing material, PLA works perfectly for these models. The storage system was designed to be sturdy without engineering-grade filaments. For higher heat resistance, we suggest using PETG or ASA/ABS.
You can print the #14 DND Tracker and Counter Dial in either a single color or a multi-color option with a system like an AMS; we'll provide both versions to backers.
We strongly suggest calibrating your printer and filament settings before printing. The models don't require any non-printable hardware, but poor print quality may affect the final usability. One of the most important factors is the flow rate, overflow can cause a bad fit when stacking or connecting the models.
If you have any questions during or after the campaign, feel free to email us at: info@boardnerds.site or use the comment section on Kickstarter. We are dedicated to providing support and resolving any file-related issues after delivery. We will also keep all backers updated so you can always access the latest versions and information.
We will distribute the files via Google Drive after the campaign ends, including STL files and 3MF slicer files.
Distribution and selling any of the digital files featured in this campaign or models based on their mesh is strongly prohibited!

About Me
Hi, I'm Tymek - the main creative mind behind BoardNerds! 😉
I've been playing board games since 2012, starting with classics like Carcassonne and 7 Wonders; the hobby really hooked me. I love exploring new and exciting titles and upgrading every possible element of the gameplay.
My other major passion is 3D printing, which began back in 2018 with the good old Ender 3 and has grown to 7 printers today! Over the years, I taught myself digital sculpting and CAD modeling, ultimately bringing my two hobbies together.
Since I started designing custom inserts, premium tokens, and other models in 2021, my models have reached over 10,000 downloads across several free and paid platforms! Feel free to check my profiles on Cults3D and Makerworld, linked in my profile!
To bring these designs to life, I use CAD programs, Blender, and Nomad Sculpt🫡.
The Use Of AI
We did NOT use AI for any of the models, artwork, or renders in this campaign. The only AI Tool we used was the background eraser for the packshots.
