Adventurer's Guide to Tartaria: Expanded content, options, and world elements

Tales from Tartaria: Narrative content, locations, and scenarios
This book brings you two pre-generated adventures for the budding GM to run. Tales from Tartaria is our exhilarating second supplementary book for GM’s eyes only. Immerse yourself in not one but two pre-made quests to get your adrenaline pumping! Embark on "The Bot with the Yellow Bandana," a thrilling blend of Wild West meets tower defence and unravel the chilling secrets of "M is for Mother," an investigative escapade with a horrifying twist!
Characters! (How do I make a Character?)
Creating a character in Bots ‘n Pieces is easy! First, name your Bot and envision its function. Next, choose three impressive items for your Bot to wear, wield, or stash in their compartments. Bring your Bot to life on paper with a doodle. Now, amp up its abilities by selecting from a range of Standard Programs—Expert, Adept, and Boost! And the best part? You can invent a unique, Exclusive Program limited only by your imagination!
You are Urflings, Bots created by humans, with a unique ability (amongst mechanical life) to Combine together, and are otherwise defined by unique forms, each created for different purposes (Functions). Unfamiliar to Tartaria, Urflings are alien beings on Tartaria, embarking on a journey filled with the wild and creative whims of their crazed GM. Choose your form and function, be it a Loud Crusherbot, a Battlemech Toaster, a love-struck Trash compactor seeking adventure, or a Spy-camera investigator on the brink of a sensational scoop!
The Setting of Tartaria (Where is it?)
Tartaria wasn't supposed to be a world.
It was a moon. Then it became a rubbish dump. Then it became a tourist attraction. Then somebody had the bright idea of launching it into space.
Now Tartaria drifts around the Great Compactor, a colossal black hole, carrying the leftovers of a civilisation that couldn't quite decide what to do with it. The Lellurians are mostly gone, but they left plenty behind: abandoned facilities, forgotten technology, dangerous experiments, and enough junk to bury a continent.
Today, Tartaria is home to stranded aliens, giant worms, biomechanical horrors, and a thriving robotic civilisation built from whatever could be salvaged from the endless mountains of scrap. New arrivals continue to crash, drift, or wash up here, adding their own stories to the growing pile.
The world itself is held together by nine colossal Arc Pylons that stabilise the atmosphere. One has failed, creating the deadly Corrosion Zone — a spreading wasteland that slowly consumes everything in its path. Across the continent you'll find bustling settlements, abandoned shipwrecks, biodomes filled with strange life, forgotten Lellurian facilities, and ancient Trash Blenders once used to process the moon's endless waste.
Every pile of junk hides a story. Every settlement has a problem. Every expedition risks uncovering something that should have stayed buried.
Welcome to Tartaria.

How the Artwork System Works
Artwork is developed across all three books at the same time. As funding increases, each book becomes progressively more illustrated — improving clarity, tone, and overall presentation.
All artwork will be created by commissioned artists and fully paid for. No AI-generated or unlicensed images will be used in the books.
Artwork Progression
- Lower funding → Light illustration across all books
