In the 1990s, the old system collapsed - and a new one was built on money, fear, and loyalty. The streets belong to those strong enough to take them, but every deal comes with a risk, every rival wants your territory, and the police are always getting closer.
BRATVA is a 1–3 player print-and-play crime strategy game about building and running your own criminal operation in the post-Soviet 1990s. Recruit dangerous men, equip your crew, establish influence across the city, and use its businesses to make money. But growing too fast attracts attention, and losing control of your territory can bring everything crashing down.
Timeline
Your Goons are more than just workers. Each has their own abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and deciding who to send - and where - is a big part of the game. Guns, Cars, Influence, Money, and Loyalty all matter, but none of them are enough on their own. You’ll need to build a crew that works together and know when to take a risk.
The city is constantly changing as the Rival gang expands, Police become more aggressive, and new opportunities appear. Send your crew to run jobs, move contraband, manipulate businesses, expand your territory, and deal with whatever trouble comes your way.
Every game forces you to decide how far you're willing to go for money, territory, and power - and how many lives you're willing to risk to get it.

About
What’s Great About Print-and-Play?
- Affordable - Get the game without expensive shipping or a big-box price.
- Print it whenever you want - Lost or damaged a component? Just print another one.
- Make it your own - Choose your paper, cut it your way, laminate it, or customize it.
- Discover indie games - Play games from small creators that might never make it into stores.
- A hobby in itself - Printing, cutting, and assembling your game can be surprisingly satisfying.
- Small and easy to store - No giant box needed. Your game can live in a folder or on your shelf.
Tough Business for Real Strategists
Just rob and steal stuff, right? Not quite. If your goons run around waving guns, they’ll end up in jail pretty quickly. And that’s not even your biggest problem.
First, there’s upkeep. Your goons and most of your gear require regular payments, so your criminal activities need to earn more than they cost.
Then things start getting complicated.
Every crime increases Heat, bringing more police attention. Careless goons can get caught by detectives. Rival gangs are also hunting your boys, forcing you to keep your crew together - or gear them up and fight back.
Send a goon into a district with high Rival Influence, and you might lose him for good after a sudden Loyalty Check. A better offer from the rivals can be hard to resist.
Focus too much on your own goals and ignore Rival Influence, and you might look up one day to find the rivals have taken over half the city and pushed you out of the business.
The key is using your goons wisely. Take advantage of their individual abilities, assign them to the right jobs in the right order, invest in the right tools, manage your Heat, and keep an eye on the Events Tracker.
This is a demo of an early version of the game. Since then, we’ve been working on the systems, and the game has changed quite a bit. Read more about the changes we’ve made so far in the block below.
