🃏 BRITCH: The Tactical Pub Card Game Code
📌 THE STORY: FROM ISOLATION TO SOCIAL GLUE
When I fled the war in Ukraine and arrived at a refugee accommodation in the Netherlands, I found myself surrounded by 70 people. We were all sharing tiny rooms, exhausted by grueling physical labor, and deeply homesick. For two long years, the youth here didn't even say hello to one another. Everyone was trapped in their own survival routine.
I wanted to change that. I started inviting people outside every day at 18:30. At first, it wasn't about the games; it was about the shared desire of people to break out of isolation, to feel welcomed and human again. We started with casual games like Mafia and classic card games. They worked for a while to get people talking.
But when you play the same games every day, you eventually hit a wall. You crave something fresh, something deeper. You need a game that never gets boring. That is when BRITCH completely changed the dynamic.
BRITCH became the ultimate social engine for our community. Whether we were 2 or 8 players at the table, it provided the exact tactical depth and bright emotional sparks we needed. It allowed us to switch off our heavy thoughts and just focus on outsmarting each other. People didn't just talk; they became real, lifelong friends. And even after months of playing every single day, the game still feels fresh, intense, and completely unpredictable.
💡 THE CONCEPT: A GAME THAT IS ALREADY IN YOUR POCKET
Why buy another oversized plastic box that clutters your shelves and harms the planet? The most brilliant gaming tool in human history is already sitting in your drawer: a standard deck of cards.
We took the mathematical perfection of the classic deck, removed the dry calculation of Poker, stripped away the random elements of standard party games, and loaded it with a high-stakes psychological thriller.
We are not selling you cardboard. We are selling you the rules to a game you’ve held in your hands your entire life without knowing it.
⚡ WHY BRITCH WILL HOOK YOUR PARTY (IN 10 SECONDS)
- Dump the Weight: Cards left in your hand are penalty points. Your absolute priority is to discard high-value cards immediately. Holding the Queen of Spades (50 points!) under a x5 multiplier is an absolute nightmare.
- The Escalating Multipliers: A game of BRITCH is a tournament of multiple consecutive rounds (cons). With each new round, the stakes rise. Round 1 is basic scoring, but Round 2 is x2 ➔ Round 3 is x3 ➔ up to Round 5. A single mistake under a x5 multiplier can instantly destroy your lead!
- The Knockout Condition: If a player's accumulated score across the rounds crosses more than 125 points, they are immediately knocked out. The remaining players keep fighting until only one final survivor stands.
- The Perfect Comeback: If you calculate your risks perfectly and land EXACTLY on 125, your score completely resets to 0. You instantly return to the game fully cleared!
- Scream "BRITCH!": Noticed your friends are hoarding cards to build a massive combo? Think your hand is mathematically safe? Slam your cards, shout "BRITCH!", instantly end the round, and watch your opponents panic as their penalties multiply.
📊 THE QUICK REFERENCE (SCORING VALUES)
No long rulebooks to read at the pub table. Just look at this simple chart and you are ready to play:
- 🎴 6, 7, 8, 9 = 0 Points (Your safe shield)
- 🔟 10, Queen (Q), King (K) = 10 Points (Danger)
- 👑 Ace (A) = 15 Points
- 🃏 Jack (J) = 20 Points (Wildcard / -20 bonus if played last)
- 💀 Queen of Spades ♠️ = 50 POINTS! (The Ultimate Nuke)
📱 THE COMPANION DIGITAL COUNTER (NO MATH IN THE PUB)
Since penalties multiply up to x5 with each round, calculating scores on a napkin after a few drinks can get messy. To keep the game fast and fluid, every backer gets access to our Digital Companion Setup. It's a simple, clean digital counter for your phone. Just input the cards left in hand, and it automatically applies the current round's multipliers, tracks the 125 knockout limits, and flashes when someone hits a perfect 125 comeback!
