From the creators that brought you Capybaras vs Pelicans: a brand new expansion pack that features new cards, new mechanics, and a whole lotta chaos!
We need your help to fund the development and creation of Capybaras vs Pelicans: Chaos Pack. With your assistance, we plan to create an expansion pack that includes:
- 50 brand new cards - each depicting a new capybara or pelican character that has their own chaotic power that influences the game in strange and wild ways
- Glossy rule booklet - which will include information about to set up a game of Capybaras vs Pelicans with the new Chaos Pack cards, as well as a detailed description of each of the new card's chaotic power
- Two-piece rigid box - with similar dimensions to the original game, for all your board game shelf organisation satisfaction needs
A successful campaign will allow us to finish developing the expansion pack, and to order the first print run of the pack.
New cards and mechanics
To play with the Chaos Pack, select 10 chaos cards from the expansion pack and shuffle them into the base game’s deck. Deal three cards to each player, then continue to play as per the base game’s rules. It’s that simple!
That is, until a chaos card is played…
During a game you might meet the electrified capybara, the hacker capybara, or the invisible capybara. Some cards will move capybaras around the table, others might protect your herd from those pesky pelicans.
You may also come across the super-duper pelican - which allows you to steal all capybaras from all players. Talk about chaos!
When setting up the game, ten chaos cards are chosen from the Chaos Pack. You can use some of the builds suggested in the rule booklet, or choose ten chaos cards at random for a truly chaotic time.
The new chaos cards - denoted by a 🌀 - have strange effects that affect the game when played. Upon playing a chaos card, read the card’s description and follow its instructions.
Scoring is also different when playing with the Chaos Pack - with bonuses being awarded to players that are able to create ‘sets’ of capybaras - making the choice of when to play your cards all-the-more important!

About the creators
We are a small team of chaotic board game lovers who are very excited to be creating an expansion pack for Capybaras vs Pelicans!
Jim came up with the original concept for Capybaras vs Pelicans, and is the resident Chaotic Ideas Man™ .
Mindy looks after the As of the project - art, and admin - and has the most chaotic hair out of the team.
Dougal does design - both the game and graphic varieties - and thinks there is nothing more chaotic than a capybara.
