I got tired of waiting. For years I’ve been watching the big AAA space games promise everything and deliver “soon” — and one of them in particular, which I’m sure you can name without my help. So I stopped waiting and started building the space sim I actually wanted to play myself. COREWARD is the result: a space simulator that runs right in your browser, no download, no launcher, built on real astronomy.

And it is not just a promise, the explorer mode are already there, the story and the PVE are in BETA already.

You fly through the Solar System and out to real stars and exoplanets from the catalogues, past nebulae and black holes that bend the starlight around them, dock at stations where people and robots talk to you, take on jobs, run fuel and cargo, hunt bounties, and follow a voiced story that begins with a strange contact out in the Kuiper belt. It’s made by one developer in Hungary, in the evenings and on weekends, and it’s already playable at corewardspace.com, with a new version going out almost every day. Your support buys time: more of it for the game, and less of it spent on everything else. Every donation, big or small, helps keep the engines burning.
