CosmosCrushers : A Tabletop Wargame

What is CosmosCrushers?

CosmosCrushers is our new Tabletop Wargame, taking the Crushers experience away from planetary warfare, up way high into space fleet battles!

As with our other boxed games, CosmosCrushers is all about plastic model sets, and reasonable price tags!

Why Kickstarter?

The simple answer is that tooling plastic model kits costs thousands of pounds per sprue, and we want to produce several new plastic sprues to add to our range. Without a Kickstarter Campaign, that's just not going to be possible.

Please note that any photos of physical models from the Crusher Fleet Sprue or Venusian Fleet Sprue that are seen on this page, are using 3d printed prototype sculpts. All models will be supplied unassembled and unpainted.

The Factions

The two factions we'll be including in the CosmosCrushers big boxed game, are the Venusian Principality, and the Skinner Republic.

Venusians come from an ancient civilisation of technologist humans, whose origins are mostly lost to time. Venusians believe that free will does not exist, and that their destiny is ordained by inevitable fate (as determined by the foundational laws of matter and energy at the exact moment of the Big Bang). They hold as a matter of mathematically-justified faith that their Prince will one day rule the Cosmos, and fight to bring that predestined future to pass.

Skinners are descendants from bio-engineered slaves, human-ape hybrids created for hard labour. Having broken their chains, the Skinners now form a democratic collectivist society. They also do not believe in free will, but they also do believe that Venusian future-prognosticators are idiots. They fight for universal sentient rights, and access to bananas.

The Tabletop Game Rules

Our ethos with rules systems, is to create simple and easy to learn rules that result in sophisticated and complex gameplay. The rules will be provided in a glossy A5 rulebook, similar to our previous rulebooks for CityCrushers and CityCrushers: Epic Battles.

The Standard Edition Big Boxed Game (£120)

The Standard Edition boxed game will contain:

• 5x Venusian Fleet Sprue
• 5x Crusher Fleet Sprue
• 10x Flying Stands & Deployables Tokens Sprues

This will allow the construction of the two fleets as pictured above.

Fleet Sets (£60-£160)

A £60 Venusian Fleet Set will contain:

• 5x Venusian Cruisers (with modular weapons choices)
• 5x Venusian Torpedo Frigates
• 5x Venusian Laser Destroyers
• 12x Deployable Tokens (4x Fighters, 4x Torpedoes, 2x Bombers, 2x Shuttles)
• 5x Dust Clouds
• 5x Asteroids
• 5x Flying Stands Sprues

A £60 Crusher Fleet Set will contain:

• 5x Cosmos Crushers (with modular weapons choices)
• 5x Cannon Convoy Crusher
• 5x Bombard Convoy Crusher
• 5x Torpedo Convoy Crusher
• 12x Deployable Tokens (4x Fighters, 4x Torpedoes, 2x Bombers, 2x Shuttles)
• 5x Dust Clouds
• 5x Asteroids
• 6x Flying Stands Sprues

There are also Grand Fleet sets available, which contain 3x of a standard fleet set.

Enhanced Edition Big Boxed Game (£240)

The Enhanced Edition will contain double of everything found in the Standard Edition boxed game set, plus also 1x Resin Spaceport.

Deluxe Edition Big Boxed Game (£260)

The Deluxe Edition will contain everything found in the Enhanced Edition boxed game set, including any unlocked Stretch Goals, plus also 1x A2 size CosmosCrushers glossy poster, plus also a random assortment of prototype CosmosCrushers Resin ship prints!

How To Pledge

If you want the Big Boxed Game Set, or a Fleet Set, the easiest thing is to click the appropriate pledge level and grab 'em. Add ons are also available for the pledges (so you can buy fifteen Fleet Sets, if the muse takes you...).

If you only want the STL files pack and don't want any physical models, there's a special "DIGITAL STL ITEMS ONLY PLEDGE" pledge level, use that to pick your STL file add-on packs.

STL Set (£60)

The CosmosCrushers STL Set will contain STL files for all the ships in the game, as well as all modular weapons choices, all token types, and all scenery pieces. Additional items will be added to the STL set during the Campaign.

Who Are Troublemaker Games?

We are an established wargames development company who design and supply plastic, metal and resin miniatures for wargames retail companies. Our chief beef Ben also works for other companies such as Mantic Games (for whom he sculpted for example, their range of 28mm scale plastic terrain kits, a lot of the HALO game models, and much of their game Epic Warpath).

We have delivered all the plastic, resin, and metal kits from all our own Crowdfunding campaigns to our customers, and all models (other than some Campaign Exclusive Limited Edition pieces) are now available for retail  purchase through either Vanguard Miniatures, as  the "Defeat In Detail" and the "Troublemaker Games Plastic Terrain Kits" ranges, or the "Nuns with Laserguns!" range via our own webstore.

Vanguard's own Crowdfunder (which we oversaw as Campaign Manager) has itself also been fully delivered.
