Crimson Marksmen: Rise of Spurwing the Cruel is an Arsenal Football Club-themed D&D adventure for football/soccer lovers. A complete adventure with original creatures, maps, and puzzles.

The Adventure Hook

The Crimson Marksmen are a heroic order of adventurers renowned for their red uniforms and acts of valor. You gather in the Crimson Marksmen Meeting Hall within the Red Bastion, the order’s headquarters, for the weekly assembly. With the region quiet in recent days, attendance is smaller than usual.

As Sir Henrik of Enri prepares to adjourn the meeting, the doors to the assembly room burst open. Drekhan Ironheart, a half-orc battle tactician, and Benivar the Pale Blade, a half-orc scout, stumble inside. They are acting as a makeshift crutch for a severely injured man you do not recognize. His simple clothes are soaked in blood, and he appears to be clinging to life.

The two exhausted Crimson Marksmen gently lower the man to the floor. Drekhan Ironheart shouts, “Quickly! This man requires aid!” The assembly leaps from their seats and rushes to surround the men.

Meet the NPCs

Original artwork paying tribute to our beloved players, past and present. NO AI ARTWORK! Here's a sample:

• Sir Henrik of Enri, a high elf paladin, the Council’s First Knight and most honored member, level 5
• Sak’an the Breaker, a young, powerful human sorcerer, level 3
• Salybar Stonewall, a young and stoic dwarven fighter, level 3
• Gabrym Swiftstep, a middle-aged dwarven cleric, unnaturally fast for a dwarf, level 3

Each of these NPCs, and more, have original artwork and full stat blocks.

The Enemies

Tiers and Rewards

The main product from this Kickstarter campaign is the original D&D 5e adventure—Crimson Marksmen: Rise of Spurwing the Cruel. Paperback and PDF options are available. The PDF will be distributed through DriveThruRPG.

Optional add-ons include a full game session run by me, the author of the adventure. Two options are available:

• Chandler, Arizona in-person session
• Irvine, California (or nearly) in-person session

Session details:

• Each adventure will be run over 2 separate 4-hour sessions (approximately 8 hours total).
• Minimum party size is 4 players. Maximum party size is 5 players. Players must be 18+ to participate.
• The in-person sessions will include a private room. Each player is responsible for their own food and beverages.
• Players are responsible for all costs associated with attending the session.
• All players must follow any rules of the game location.
• While we recognize that Arsenal FC is by far the greatest team the world has ever seen and Tottenham is $%#@, all players will be respectful to each other, regardless of their team preferences.
• Physical or verbal threats will result in immediate removal from the game without a refund.
• Players will be respectful to the Game Master and other players. Disrespectful comments will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the game without a refund.
• Players should avoid using their phone and other non-essential devices during the game.
• The game will include descriptions of violence against fictional creatures. No adult themes or actions against other players are allowed.
• Avoid side conversations and meta gaming.
• The Game Master is responsible for making decisions and moving the game along. Respectful disagreement is okay, but the GM decision is final. Unless there's an extraordinary scenario, the GM is not reviewing rules during the game. If the GM makes a mistake, a correction can be made the next time the issue arises. The GM will not argue with the players during the game.
• The game will be run with D&D 5e (2014) rules. I like to simplify the games a bit, generally dropping concentration rules and attacks of opportunity.

Fulfilment Timeline

• November 2026: Kickstarter campaign runs for the month
• December 2026: Kickstarter campaign ends; Kickstarter deposits the project funds; digital rewards distributed
• January 2027: Physical rewards distributed and game sessions scheduled
