« Crown of Ash » est un jeu stratégique de placement d’ouvriers et de contrôle de territoire pour 1 à 4 joueurs. La promesse d’un sommeil sans rêves n’était qu’un mensonge. Les Seigneurs se sont réveillés après avoir passé cent ans à contempler les profondeurs les plus sombres de l’oubli, chaque instant tourmenté par des cauchemars. Ils ne se souciaient plus de la paix, mais aspiraient désormais au pouvoir. Ce sommeil lugubre leur avait révélé un secret ancestral : la connaissance occulte de la nécromancie. Elle leur donnait la capacité de lever des armées à partir des terres désolées de leurs royaumes. Ceux qui étaient tombés lors de la première guerre se relèveraient pour se lancer dans une seconde guerre sanglante, un conflit dévastateur qui déterminerait qui, enfin, revendiquerait la Couronne de cendres. Les joueurs incarnent des nécromanciens assoiffés de vengeance. Ils envoient leurs fidèles serviteurs accomplir leurs ordres. The Monuments Expansion introduces 4 unique Fighters that require Aether to raise.

These mysterious creatures are physically weak but their impact can be felt across the land. Once placed onto the board they add to your Attack Value in all adjacent regions when initiating an attack.

This allows for clever long term strategies to undermine your enemies defences, or place them into the Citadel to reign chaos over the whole Kingdom.

USA Tarrifs
Backers receiving their pledges from the US fulfilment centre will also need to pay a small additional fee in the pledge manager, to cover some of the costs created by US tariffs on Chinese goods. Since we won’t know the definite tariff rate until goods are leaving China, we will charge those backers their main shipping fees earlier in the process, and only charge the extra tariff fee later on.

Hello! I'm Richard the designer of Crown of Ash and founder of Card Noir.

Originally from Norwich, England but now living in London, I've been inadvertently designing and house ruling games since I was a kid but it wasn't until my wife Natalie introduced me to modern board games that I suddenly realised I'd been missing out on a whole category of entertainment.

I've been a professional graphic designer for over 15 years and can't live without creating cool stuff! So I was immediately inspired to create a game of my own. After years of initial ideas and rough prototypes that never went very far, it was when the pandemic hit that I finally got around to taking one of my most promising ideas to the next level.

I joined VPT an online community dedicated to play-testing games over Tabletop Simulator and then Playtest UK where I now join in weekly to help and be helped by other talented small creators.

This community is incredible and I couldn't have got this far without it.

Crown of Ash was my first tabletop game Kickstarter and I was overwhelmed by the amazing support of the backers coming together and pledging their hard earned money to make it happen. It smashed its funding goal was successfully delivered to many happy backers.

Since then, I've been working on many projects in the background but my first priority was expanding on Crown of Ash to add in some ideas I was truly excited about and take the game to another level.
