After the success of Wave 1 (Boil & Bubble, The Dig: Treasure Island) and our wildly popular Wave 2 (Spymaster One, Pogo Possum Posse Poker), Wave 3 features two new entertaining and engaging games that play out with any standard deck of cards.

Twin Sisters by Tim WK Brown

A game for 2-4 hearty hikers, 30 mins. (Deckbuilding/Resource Race)

Lace up your boots, pack your gear, and get ready to hit the trail! In Twin Sisters, you'll hike your way up Washington's spectacular Twin Sisters mountains, using the right equipment to climb higher and capture thrilling snapshots along the way. Every step brings a new challenge, a new view, and another memory worth keeping. The mountain is calling- are you ready to answer?

Twin Sisters: A Game of Hiking New Heights is a strategic deck-building adventure for 2–4 players. Build your hiking skills, collect essential gear, and climb to new heights as you explore the Twin Sisters mountains! Strengthen your deck to gain useful equipment, upgrade your gear, and take snapshots to preserve the viewpoints. Every turn brings new opportunities to improve your climb and earn victory points. When the adventure comes to an end, the player with the most points wins!

Play your Hand: Players start the game with 10 cards and will draw 5 for every turn. On your turn, you will play all your cards- each one is worth one point of Climb. Use your Climb to gain valuable Gear, upgrade that Gear, or add more powerful cards to your deck.

Use your Gear: Gear will make your cards more powerful and generate more Climb. That 2 of Hearts in your hand? Your trusty Trail Map makes A,2,3s worth an extra point, and your Binoculars make all Hearts worth an extra point. Suddenly your stride lengthens and it carries you up the mountain easier. You'll also be able to upgrade your gear to make your cards worth more Climb and worth points at the end of the game!

Take a Snapshot: You might want to rest in your hike and take in the view! Pause for a moment and take a Snapshot of the thrilling views. The Face Cards are set to the side to gain with the Climb you generate. Add them to your deck to make your hand stronger, and get points at the end for every snapshot you've taken on your hike.

End of the Trail: The game ends when both Jokers or all the Face Cards have been taken from the available Snapshots. Players add up the points from upgraded Gear and all their Snapshots. The player with the highest score wins!

Squaresville by Ryan Sanders

A game for 2-4 city planners, 30 mins. (Tableau Building/Set Collection)

In Squaresville, you are a city planner building up to something great! You are drafting and playing cards to streets in your own 3x3 city grid, trying to satisfy your residents and build the best city. But different citizens have different goals for the streets that criss cross the city. Some cards work better in rows, some better in columns, and you'll have to make tough decisions and really think outside the block!

With Deck Hand Games, we are offering these two titles in convenient, hi-res, full colour Print and Play versions with a PAY WHAT YOU WANT option. What does that mean? That means, for a minimum pledge of $1, you can get a Print and Play version as soon as the campaign ends. If you are ABLE or WANT to contribute more, there's a way to pledge more as additional support for our project.

While future Kickstarters will offer previous Deck Hand games as part of your pledge in Backerkit, at this point, the Print and Play versions of previous titles will NOT be available again at such a low introductory price.

The print-and-play pledge will include the following for each game: 18 double-sided cards in both Letter and A4 format, 1 double-sided tuck box in both Letter and A4 format, 1 foldable double-sided rules in both Letter and A4 format, and access to Backerkit for previous titles.e
