🪐 Dragon Ball Z: The Board Game Saga

❓ What is DBZ: The Board Game Saga?

For Dragon Ball Z fans, this game is the closest you’ve ever come to playing through the anime itself.

Created by lifelong fans, this cooperative campaign comes in at 15+ hours of gameplay, and is designed to capture the feeling of the series, from intense battles and desperate training to legendary transformations and unforgettable villains.

The game plays out across 12 unique "Episodes," carefully structured game sessions, each featuring new villains, Fighter abilities, Locations, Allies, and Items. Experience the Dragon Ball Z saga one Episode at a time as you grow stronger, unlock new powers, and relive iconic moments from the show.

Not ready for the adventure to end? After completing the campaign, you can continue the fight with freeform play by mixing and matching Fighters, Enemies, Locations, and more to create your own custom Episodes. And with multiple strategies and challenges to test yourself with, replaying Episodes is always a fresh experience as you push yourself to become even more powerful than before.

▶️ How to Play

Train your Fighter by gaining Energy and Stress, learning new Signature Techniques, unlocking powerful Forms, and collecting Items and Allies. As your Power Level increases, so does your strength and the number of actions you can take each turn.

Fight together on the Battlefield, balancing Fighters between the Active Zone and Support Zone while managing Stress and Energy to survive each encounter.

Gather all seven Dragon Balls to make powerful wishes, revive fallen Fighters from the Afterlife, and overcome increasingly dangerous Episodes before your entire team is defeated.

⏰ Why Back Now

This Kickstarter features an exclusive version of the game created specifically for backers.

While we would love to bring the game to retail in the future, that will depend heavily on the success of this campaign and is not currently guaranteed. Any retail version that may come will likely see increased prices.

Most importantly, Kickstarter backers will be the very first players to get the game. Retail, if it happens, would come well after backers receive their copies.

By backing now, you’re helping make the game possible while securing the most complete and collectible version of the experience.

📦 Shipping

This campaign will only be shipping to the United States and Canada. We are unable to ship directly to any other countries at this time. Kickstarter will not charge shipping, sales tax, or VAT when the campaign closes. Because shipping costs vary by location and may change over time, rates will be calculated and collected closer to fulfillment.

We currently estimate that shipping will be $25 for shipping to the United States and $35 for Canada.

These prices are estimates based on current rates, but the shifting geopolitical landscape can cause shipping costs to fluctuate over time. You will receive an email from our pledge manager after the campaign concludes to confirm your pledge.

📆 Timeline

The game is fully approved and ready for production, allowing us to keep the timeline short and focused.

After the campaign ends on July 7, we’ll open a brief late pledge period while preparing for manufacturing.

Production is scheduled to begin end of July and conclude in October. We currently expect backers in the United States to receive their rewards in December, with Canadian backers expected to receive theirs in January.
