The Vision Behind Dream Weaver
Have you ever woken up from a dream so vivid, so intensely real, that for a split second, you didn't know which side of reality you were standing on?
I’ve always been completely captivated by that fragile, mysterious space between the dreaming and the waking mind, that quiet threshold where imagination feels just as tangible as the physical world. I found myself endlessly drawn to the rich folklore of dream weavers and the intricate, sacred geometry of traditional dream-catchers, those ancient talismans meant to capture our deepest nocturnal visions.
Then, one night, the line blurred entirely. I had a literal dream. In the quiet hours of sleep, the Dream Weaver, that elusive figure you've seen moving through my trailers, spinning threads of imagination, was right there in my mind's eye, crafting this exact deck of cards and sending it across the veil to me.
When I woke up, I knew that vision couldn't just vanish with the morning light. I had to pull it out of the nocturnal ether and bring it into reality. This project is my attempt to capture that exact spark, bridging the gap between the fantasy of the sleeping mind and the waking world through physical craft.
The Dream Weaver Deck: Design & Anatomy
Photoshoot by: Joe Feldpausch
The borderless back design utilizes a complex, mandala-like web inspired by dream-catcher patterns. Every intricate stroke of the interlocking geometry is stamped with shifting, multicolored holographic film, transforming the deck into a rotating optical vortex when fanned, spread, or cut.
Anchored by a grand, custom spade pip and bordered by shimmering holographic foil, flanked by delicate multicolored star-burst accents and custom typography.
Set against a clean cream background with custom periwinkle indices, the pip layouts cascade down the center in a structured, vertical alignment that locks into precise ornamental rings when viewed in a face-up fan.
The royal suite evolves from single-ring geometric rosettes up to grand, vertically elongated focal points on the Kings.
The Jokers feature a minimalist portrait of the signature Dream Weaver character with a faceless head crafted entirely from color-shifting holographic film.
The tuck cases are heavily embossed and foil-stamped with multicolored holographic elements. More than just a box, when multiple tuck cases are set together in a specific arrangement, the intricate geometry aligns to form a continuous, stunning visual mural that serves as a proper gateway to the dreamscape.

Static images don't do this deck justice, you need to see the dual-sided holographic finish catch the light in real time. Watch cardist Silas Noyes put the prototype through its paces to experience the full visual impact of the full-bleed back design and custom art in action! 🎬✨
Every single aspect of this deck was meticulously designed for cardists, magicians, and collectors. Let’s weave some dreams into reality.
Hi, I’m Bruce Di Quinzio, founder of Kardgic Playing Cards based out of Montreal, Quebec. My journey in the playing card world began with a passion for magic, which quickly evolved into a deep dedication to cardistry and card collecting. Over the years, connecting with this incredible global community has driven me to push creative boundaries with every deck I produce.
Dream Weaver is my 4th custom playing card project, following our most recent successfully funded campaign, Skulls&Roses.
With Dream Weaver, I wanted to create a deck that explores the bridge between dreams and reality blending sacred geometry, dream catcher motifs, and folklore into a visual experience designed to flow in motion. Thanks to the invaluable feedback, prototype testing, and support from fellow cardists, magicians, and creators in our community, we dialed in every detail: from the 300gsm black core stock to the dual sided holographic foil on both the faces and full bleed backs.
This deck belongs to the community just as much as it does to me. My goal remains to build Kardgic into a full time studio and continue giving back through art that inspires, captivates, and handles effortlessly in your hands.
Thank you for being part of this journey, supporting the vision, and helping bring Dream Weaver to life!
Special Thanks: Joe Feldpausch

Jack Yang was always concerned about the quality of regular playing cards when playing poker with friends due to their low repeat usage. By chance, Jack met a group of poker professionals and learned about their high demand for playing cards (poker). So Jack came up with the idea of building his own company and brand. In 2006, he founded Shenzhen Wangjing Printing Co., Ltd. – a custom playing card factory.
