DUNGEON DADDY’S TECHNOS & TITANS: TTRPG QUICK START GUIDES
Be the first to get playing Dungeon Daddy’s Technos & Titans a Cyberfantasy TTRPG based here on Earth in the year 2099! Explore the future of humanity, building out 11 humanoid ethnicities and 22 humanoid races. Try the “Number 1” new dice mechanics I’ve created, that make for fast easy encounters and levelling up!
Back this Kickstarter to be on the forefront of the next generation of gaming and get the D2T2 TTRPG (& TCG) Quick Start Guide Book, in either the $7 Black and White or $10 Colour Digital Book version (fulfilled through DriveThruRPG).
This (successfully funded) Kickstarter is my test run and funding round, for my next upcoming and more ambitious Kickstarter in June, when I will be raising funds for my Print-On-Demand, Dungeon Daddy’s Technos & Titans, TTRPG Quick Start Guides, TCG-Khardz and Board Game Tile Sets. That’s right! D2T2 is not just a TableTop RolePlaying Game, it’s also a Trading Card Game, that can be played together or separately with D2T2 and altogether as a Board Game.
The D2T2 Quick Start Guides, Khardz (Cards) and Board Tiles, will be available via DriveThruRPG and DriveThruCards. But you can get a head start and pre-order a digital book copy or pdf now and become a “returning backer” to get in on the “secret rewards tier” I’ll be offering.
All page layout images, writing and gameplay, created by Trevor Smith (AI will be used for upscaling and editing images to look crisp with DriveThruRPG formatting and to grammar check my page text and translate them into other languages). Some image examples, still require me to add text as I finalize the names and game mechanics.
- TECHNOS & TITANS the TTRPG
Welcome to the smog-choked, neon-lit sprawl of Earth 2099. I am Trevor Curtis Smith, the architect behind Dungeon Daddy Gaming and the founder of Hubaluba. We are launching our flagship tabletop project, Dungeon Daddy’s Technos & Titans, on Kickstarter to ignite a passionate community and forge the path for our digital future. This campaign is the crucial first step toward our ultimate vision: the Dungeon Daddy Campaign Companion app and a fully integrated Virtual Tabletop (VTT), slated for a summer release on June 1st, 2026.
Technos & Titans is a visceral Cyberfantasy experience where untamed, mutating magic collides with ruthless corporate machinery. You aren't just rolling dice; you are surviving in a brutal ecosystem defined by 11 distinct ethnicities, 22 biological races, 11 Trait Classes, and 50 highly specialized Talent Skills. To cut through the mechanical bloat of traditional games, we engineered a revolutionary "roll-low" d20 system. Here, the dreaded 20 is a critical failure, and the elusive 1 is an absolute, perfect triumph. By replacing suffocating arithmetic with an intuitive engine, the tactical violence stays fast, and you remain completely submerged in the narrative. Step into the future, embrace the upgrade, and experience a tabletop evolution that is decades overdue.
Earth 2099: Demographics and Ethnicities
Humie (Legacy Human): Boasting a staggering population base of 10 Billion, they make up roughly 6/7ths of Earth's humanoid population.
Feral (Infected Humanoid): Roaming the vicious outlands of the Jung, this group has a massive population of 3.7 Billion.
Robo (Roboticized Human): Operating from the gleaming towers of Droidex and the Martian colony of Ares, this synthetic group numbers 1.4 Billion.
Mech (Mechanized Human): Forming the grease-stained industrial backbone in the Hive City of Servo, their population stands at 420 Million.
Evo (Mutated Human): Surviving the highly unstable and hazardous zones of Tant, they number 400 Million.
Net (Cybernetic Human): Seeking technological salvation in the neon-drenched metropolis of Cyberia, this group possesses a population of 260 Million.
Gen (Genetically Advanced Human): The engineered apex of humanity residing in Genesis and Ares maintains a base population of 240 Million.
Brid (Hybrid Human): Adapted to extreme environments like the overgrown North Pole city of Zoozoo, they have a population of 90 Million.
Union (Multi-Class Humanoid): Found in the sprawling, transient metropolis of Alt, they number 82 Million.
Holo (Holographic Human): Housed in Quantum-Photonic computational clouds within Cloud City, they possess a population of 40 Million.
Alien (Interplanetary Humanoid): Entirely disconnected from Earth and surviving on Mars (Ares), their population is 31 Million.
The Core Mechanics of the Sprawl
The Inverted Paradigm: Standard systems condition players to climb, but Earth 2099 requires you to compress and focus.
Perfect Resonance: A roll of 1 represents absolute perfection and a critical success, while a 20 signifies a critical failure.
Modifiers: Negative numbers act as buffs that pull your roll toward 1, whereas positive numbers are penalties that push your roll higher.
The Rule of 22: Attempting a specific Talent 22 times under genuine pressure automatically shrinks your die, permanently increasing your odds of rolling a 1.
Trait Spectrum: Characters are measured across 11 Trait Classes framed as a diagnostic spectrum rather than a traditional stat list.
Key-Classes: There are seven Key-Classes representing the core spectrum of humanoid capability.
Octave-Classes: There are three Source Octave-Classes representing the manipulation of reality, advanced physics, and fate.
The Singularity: The plain O Class represents the 10th dimension, allowing players to petition the Game Master to rewrite reality.
The Crucible of Combat
Phase 1 (Reaction Round): Every combatant rolls their Reaction Die, and the lowest roll reacts first.
Reaction Economy: Rolling below a 1 grants powerful bonus reactions, while rolling excessively high inflicts sluggish penalty reactions.
Phase 2 (Position Round): Movement is executed in reverse order, forcing the highest roll to move first and allowing the lowest roll to move last.
Phase 3 (Combat Round): The turn order reverts back to the Reaction Round results so that the lowest roll attacks first.
The Tactical Loop: After the initial Reaction Round executes once, the sequence continuously loops back and forth strictly between the Position Round and Combat Round until the encounter ends.
Attrition System: Combat operates on a strict 1-to-1 damage conversion where 1 Point of Damage equals a 1% loss in Health Percentage.
Flesh and Buffers: Biological flesh begins at exactly 100%, and equipped armor acts as an artificial health buffer that takes the damage first.
