—description du concepteur
DUNGEONOMICS is a dungeon-crawling-inspired economic fantasy strategy game for 2-6 players. Monsters have escaped, rival kingdoms see opportunity, and you have been chosen to turn the chaos into profit.
Spend wheat, meat, herbs, potions, and magic stones to invest in monsters already roaming the field. When a monster you backed wins battles and survives, your portfolio pays out. When that monster is defeated and removed, its income disappears with it.
Across four rounds, fortunes rise and fall. Players compete for the best investments, negotiate when their interests overlap, and form short-lived alliances when helping the same monster helps both ledgers. Every session creates a different market story - and when the fourth round ends, the investor with the most gold wins.
Please note: All photos show prototypes or the manufacturer’s first production sample. Some components may be refined or updated during the Kickstarter campaign.
The rulebook is still a work in progress, and the final version may differ from what’s shown here. The video is provided purely as a visual reference to give you a glimpse of the full playthrough of the game.
We love the excitement, community, and collaboration that Stretch Goals can bring to a Kickstarter campaign. For DUNGEONOMICS, however, we have made the deliberate decision not to include them.
We have a clear vision for the game, and our priority is delivering it at the highest possible quality—from gameplay and components to artwork and visual design. Adding new cards, artwork, or components during the campaign could compromise that focus and create unnecessary production and fulfillment delays.
The good news is that DUNGEONOMICS already includes the premium upgrades we envisioned from the start: 72 premium metal-clay poker chips, linen-finish cards with a matte varnish, a box with spot UV highlights, and a custom internal tray designed for faster setup and cleanup. Nothing has been held back for future upgrades.
We still want this campaign to be collaborative. Share your ideas in the Kickstarter comments. If the community supports an improvement that fits the game without compromising quality or delivery, we will seriously consider it.
Our goal is simple: make the best version of DUNGEONOMICS possible—and deliver it without unnecessary compromises or delays.
Are you interested in stocking DUNGEONOMICS? We love supporting friendly local game stores and independent brick-and-mortar retailers—and we would be thrilled to see DUNGEONOMICS on store shelves around the world.
If you are a retailer interested in wholesale opportunities, please complete the form below. We will contact you after the Kickstarter campaign with more information. ⬇️
Please note that this timeline is our best estimate. Manufacturing, freight, customs, or other unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. If anything changes, we’ll keep backers informed with clear and timely updates.
The final charges for shipping and sales tax or VAT (where applicable) will be calculated and collected through our Pledge Manager after the end of our campaign and closer to our shipping date.
🇺🇸 USA: Orders will ship from our U.S. hub. Applicable sales tax will be collected for backers in certain states through the pledge manager after the campaign. We currently do not plan to charge additional tariff fees. However, if tariff rates increase significantly around the time our pledge manager opens, a surcharge may apply. We will keep you informed and explain any additional charges.
🇬🇧 UK & 🇪🇺 EU: Orders will ship from our UK or NL hub. VAT on both rewards and shipping is not included in your pledge or shipping estimate and will be collected through the pledge manager. All EU destinations are customs-friendly.
🇨🇦 Canada: Rewards ship from the United States. Canadian backers are responsible for applicable import duties, GST/HST/PST, and customs or brokerage fees. These charges are not included in your pledge or shipping fee and may be payable before or upon delivery.
Keun Games began with a simple mission: Play Creative.
For designer and illustrator Keun Ahn, that mission first took shape in Shadows: Heroes & Monsters, a strategy card game built around clever combos and psychological mind games. After creating it, Keun wanted to make a game that could bring more people together—experienced strategy gamers, first-time players, children, parents, and grandparents sharing the same table.
That ambition became DUNGEONOMICS, with a playful twist on fantasy: you become the investor backing monsters and hoping to profit from the chaos of dungeon adventures.
Behind the theme is a personal goal: to help children and adults explore financial thinking through play. Players evaluate opportunities, balance risk and reward, and adapt when circumstances change. Even a promising investment can take an unexpected turn. Each decision gives players a chance to learn from the outcome, discover a new approach, and surprise one another.
Keun developed the gameplay and visual world together, personally hand-drawing and coloring more than 80 original illustrations, including 29 unique monster characters. Each character helps bring warmth and personality to a world of competing interests and uncertain fortunes.
Through many rounds of prototyping and public playtesting with more than 500 players, DUNGEONOMICS has grown with the people who played it. Their feedback, reactions, and unexpected strategies have helped shape the game into what it is today.
Throughout that journey, the goal has remained the same: give players room to think creatively, find their own strategies, and create memorable moments together.
We hope every game leaves you with a story about the monster you backed too early, the rival you suddenly needed, or the brilliant investment that became a complete disaster—and a reason to play again.
