What Makes It Different?
- No grid: Place curved creatures organically rather than filling squares
- Score the negative space: The gaps you create are the heart of the puzzle
- One shared ocean: Everyone shapes and reacts to the same evolving ecosystem
- Changing currents: Drift cards continually alter your placement opportunities
- Shared scoring conditions: Everyone sees the Harmony goals—but may pursue them differently
- Secret endgame objective: What looks valuable now may not survive final scoring
🪼 Pledge Levels
Effervescent features an organic, grid-free tile-laying system where you have infinite freedom of placement and strategy. Starting from a starting tile in the center table, players take turns playing their curved sea creature tile so that its tail touches the head of an existing creature on the table. This head-to-tail placement method creates spaces between the tiles and organic works of art. Strategically place your tile in a way that match the Drift card to attach your Effervescents to the tile and in strategic groups with other players previous tiles to maximize your scoring. Once an open areas is fully surrounded by creatures, all players with Effervescents within score points. Will you enclose your own spaces to score points immediately or strategically team with other players to score on other's turns. There's layers and layers of strategy and goes much deeper...

The Extra Content in Effervescent is just that; extra! Once you've played Effervescent a number of times with the standard setup, you can start to spice things up with different starting tiles, different placement tiles, and additions like the lionfish or dolphin. Each addition changes how the game works in a small way, but adds up to a ton of amazing experiences.
🐬How to Play Effervescent
Four Otters, Turtles, Orcas and Seahores in 3 different sizes (small, medium, large) and 4 different colors (Blue, Purple, Yellow, and Green) tiles are set next to the play area. The first game's starting tile features a swirl of these creatures.
- Earn Effervescents to place by playing a tile to satisfy up to 3 Drift Cards
- Earn Points by attaching Effervescents to your played tile in the empty spaces between, maximizing points from Harmony cards
- Drift cards change round to round but Harmony cards stay for the game.
The key puzzley choice each turn is how to connect a creature to the puzzle to maximize your Effervescent scoring:
Do you place tiles to score now, or wait for other players to set up epic scoring rounds on their turn?
The game ends when one player attaches all of their Effervescents to tiles resulting in a beautiful serene flowing marine scene on your table. Finally, reveal your Tidal Direction card and count your bonus points from Effervescents that satisfy it. The highest score wins!
Once you master the basics take the challenge to the next level with so much extra content. These introduce high-variability elements that seamlessly inject new layers of complexity into the shared ocean board. Shake up the initial setup using distinct starting tiles—like the colorless, restriction-heavy Octopus, variable Rocks and Coral, or the boundary-locking Sunken Ship. Race to claim Lionfish meeples for a critical end-game set-collection majority, and encircle the wandering Dolphin miniature within a Habitat to score an immediate bonus point and strategically dictate where it jumps next.
On top of that, there's even more wanderers to be added to the waves. These turn the head-to-tail placement rules on their head. Draft the all-head AND all-tail Starfish or double-sided Manta Rays and Betta Fish change up the board. You can even start the game with an Electric Eel tile composed almost entirely of a "head", these eels act as powerful placement catalysts—but if two Electric Eels ever touch on the board, they instantly score their surrounding habitats, fall in love, and swim away into the box, completely collapsing the local geometry and testing your colony's spatial resilience.

🦩Flock Ton of Flamingos
Flock Ton of Flamingos is a lighthearted, fast-paced card game for 2 to 6 players set in a vibrant, retro world focused on making attracting stylish, feathered friends to build the most fabulous flock. Inspired by the charming, kitschy aesthetic of mid-century atomic design, the game features eye-catching pinks and teals alongside whimsical illustrations of flamingos sporting distinct, fashionable outfits that double as the game's card suits. Players compete to attract these uniquely styled birds away from a central lagoon and into their own personal roost.
The game’s is directly inspired by real-world flamingo behavior, highlighting the fact that these social birds inherently organize themselves into tightly knit mated pairs, close circles of friends, and broader community groups.

👠How to Play Flock Ton
Each round, players take turns doing one of three actions: either sending
a Flamingo from their hand to attract flamingos to their roost, attracting gaining
flamingos from the Lagoon to their roost, or playing Flamingos directly from
their hand to their roost.
Play a flamingo from your hand to the Lagoon, taking all cards that match the suit of the played card as well as those numbers listed on the Attract section of the card.
If you attract 3 or more Flamingos from the Lagoon, you cause a Flamboyance! Flamingos fly everywhere and all other players take a Flamingo from the deck.
When the Flamingos run out, the game ends. Flamingos score in a unique way - each card may be part of 3 different sets:
- First: score 1 point for each pair of the same number flamingo
- Second: score 2 points for each run of three numbers
- Third: Score 3 points for each set of 6 from the same suit. Flamingos can (and should) be used in multiple different scoring groups, but each flamingo can only be in one of each type of group.
