• Gather resources – Search the beach for everything you need. Pay attention to the tides – these accumulation spaces require perfect timing!

• Irrigate & plant – Build clever irrigation systems, prepare the soil, and plant your first crops.

• Care & harvest – Tend to your land – and reap what you have sown.

• Attract animals – Create a natural balance and attract animal species that will strengthen your ecosystem.

• Build your engine – Use your plants and pioneers strategically, combining their talents and abilities for an efficient gameplay flow.

Meet the team!

We are Lisa and Joachim. We have been working in the board game industry for more than five years, Joachim as an editor with a keen eye for artistic details and Lisa as a translator and self-taught graphic designer, and at the beginning of this year we started our own publishing company, Steinbock Brettspiele!

Our goal is to develop games whose rules are so easy to learn that you can easily bring them to the table at any time. Games that offer a pleasant depth and can be played with four people in under two hours.

To promote Era of Pioneers and test it at German board game conventions, we have already released two small card games: Bobbidi Boom and Der König des Waldes! Maybe you already heart about them. :)

Jannik is our awesome author. His passion for board games was passed down to him by his family. His math studies took him to Marburg, where he discovered “Spielbrücke,” a place where the latest games are played every week. He has been working on his own ideas for almost as long as he has been playing games, and is now thrilled that Era of Pioneers is seeing the light of day!

The wonderful Roman wields pencil and brush for us—and we couldn't ask for anyone better! With a fresh perspective, a keen sense of atmosphere, and a style that adapts to each new project, he gets to the heart of ideas—honestly, clearly, and visually powerfully, with a dash of humor.

His approach combines the best of two worlds: The first drafts are created freely and creatively on paper before being further developed on the computer with great attention to detail. In this way, Roman creates images that not only look beautiful, but also really tell a story.

He has already brought over a dozen games to life with his illustrations. We are delighted that he is helping to shape Era of Pioneers visually and are excited to see where this creative journey will take us together.
