What began as a passion project and launched through Kickstarter has grown into something far beyond what we imagined. Eternal Nightmare invited players into a race through a world of cursed riches, sacred talismans, terrifying encounters, and one final challenge standing between survival and defeat—and players answered the call from around the world.

In Eternal Nightmare, players embark on a thrilling journey through a haunted world where every roll of the dice could bring fortune or doom. The objective is simple yet daunting: outplay your opponents, amass wealth, and acquire the three sacred talismans needed to face the final challenge and escape the Eternal Nightmare. Players take turns rolling dice, navigating a treacherous board filled with ominous squares that may offer rewards, unleash hauntings, or trigger dire penalties. With elements of strategy, luck, and daring decisions, every turn holds the promise of triumph or disaster. Will you brave the nightmarish twists and claim your escape, or will you be trapped forever in the darkness? The thrill of the unknown and the challenge of outwitting your foes make "Eternal Nightmare" a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

The Nightmare Returns

The Eternal Nightmare Deluxe Edition builds upon everything players loved about the original: premium components, immersive horror, and unforgettable game nights. This new edition expands the nightmare with upgraded content, enhanced presentation, and exclusive additions designed to deepen the experience for both returning players and those entering the nightmare for the first time.

Alongside showcasing the Deluxe Edition, selected pledge tiers will also offer the opportunity to obtain a limited edition of the original Eternal Nightmare—a chance to own the game that started it all.

One of the biggest surprises at UK Games Expo wasn’t just the gameplay—it was the reaction to the player tokens. Time and again, visitors picked them up and commented on how rare it is to find truly solid metal tokens in modern board games. Their weight, premium feel, and detailed designs became one of the most talked-about features of Eternal Nightmare.

For the Deluxe Edition, we’re expanding the nightmare.

Introducing two brand-new solid metal character tokens, increasing player count from 6 to 8 players and bringing even more chaos to game night.

'The Rotter'

Long ago, The Rotter entered the nightmare searching for riches beyond imagination. He found them… but greed kept him rolling just one more turn. Decades passed. Then centuries. Now half-forgotten and half-decomposed, he shuffles through the board with pockets full of worthless cursed coins and a stubborn belief that this game is finally his winning run.

'The Weeping Bride'

On the night of her wedding, she drew a card she should never have drawn and vanished into the nightmare before she could say “I do.” Now she drifts through its haunted paths in a faded gown and endless veil, forever searching for the sacred talismans said to grant escape. Players say if you hear soft weeping at the table… she’s already one turn ahead.

Cast in solid metal and designed with the same premium quality fans loved at the expo, these new characters make the Deluxe Edition heavier, bigger, and more cursed than ever before. 

New Deluxe Final Challenge - The Tower of Souls

The nightmare grows taller… and the escape becomes harder.

Exclusive to the Deluxe Edition, Tower of Souls introduces an all-new final challenge that can be chosen when a player has claimed 3 Sacred Talisman Cards and lands on a Final Showdown square. Armed with five mysterious Soul Dice and racing against the timer, players must complete three escalating stacking sequences in the correct order before time runs out. Every roll becomes more intense as the rules tighten and the tower rises.

Like the other final challenges, Tower of Souls rewards precision, nerve, and a little luck from the lost souls themselves. Succeed, and you escape Eternal Nightmare and claim victory. Fail… and the Keeper demands a price—forcing you to surrender a Sacred Talisman and continue your desperate fight for survival.

For those brave enough to tempt fate, a reduced difficulty option allows players to sacrifice 3,000 cursed coin notes to buy one extra minute… but in the nightmare, every deal comes at a cost.

New to the Deluxe Edition, players who would rather trust fate than answer trivia can choose an alternative high-risk gamble mechanic and challenge another player instead. Wager cursed riches, tempt disaster, and attempt to steal momentum in a tense head-to-head showdown. Win and reap the rewards. Lose… and the nightmare may become even harder to escape.

Shipping

We're committed to keeping shipping costs as fair and transparent as possible. Shipping charges are shown separately during the Kickstarter pledge process and are based on your destination.

United Kingdom
All UK orders will be dispatched from within the UK, so no additional import duties or customs charges will apply.

North America, Canada & Europe
We will ship directly to backers in these regions. While we do everything we can to minimise costs, any import duties, customs charges or local taxes required by your country's customs authority are the responsibility of the backer. Most pledges arrive without issue, but customs regulations vary from country to country, so we cannot guarantee whether charges will apply.

We'll keep all backers updated throughout production and fulfilment, and we'll always aim to make the delivery process as smooth and hassle-free as possible.

Timeline

31 October 2026 – Gamefound Campaign Launch

The nightmare begins! The Eternal Nightmare Deluxe Gamefound campaign goes live, giving backers the opportunity to secure exclusive rewards, limited editions and Gamefound-only content.

Campaign Ends 30/12/2026

Once the campaign has successfully concluded and payment has been collected, fulfilment begins.

Original Edition Rewards

If you've pledged for Reward Tier 1 (Original Base Game + Expansion Pack), there's no need to wait until next year. As these games have already been manufactured, we'll begin shipping them immediately after the campaign ends, allowing you to start your nightmare while the Deluxe Edition enters production.

November 2026 – May 2027

During this period we'll be finalising artwork, manufacturing the Deluxe Edition, carrying out quality control, and preparing worldwide fulfilment. We'll keep all backers informed with regular Gamefoundr updates, behind-the-scenes previews, production photos and milestone announcements, so you can follow the journey from factory to your doorstep.

June 2027 – Deluxe Edition Fulfilment

All Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 rewards will begin shipping from June 2027.
