END GAME JOURNEY

Rumored that three homunculi have gone rogue and have their own plans, you'll have to head to Alvash and solve the settlements woes. Bearing the size of half of Baltane, face new sea themed and Lovecraftian threats in this cursed ocean bound town. Face Sloth, Wrath and Pride on a battle to stop them from freeing a warrior who knows no equal, Caldabogh.

NEW GAME PLUS OVERHAUL

Inspired by the depth and attention to detail of new game plus in Dark Souls 2, FADE's new game plus offers great bonuses and additional content!

• Boss Changes: Story bosses are augmented with new moves and new secret encounters can be found through exploration.
• Race Shift: Have an option to change and modify your character customization, presenting access to new ways to modify your experience and modify difficulty. Lastly get access to a unique race you only unlock by beating the game once.
• Stat Reallocation: Realign your stats according to your intended playstyle and experience the game in a brand new way.
• Modified map placements: Get lost in the world all over again with new locations for loot and special encounters.

CONSOLE PORT UPGRADE

Help us expand to a new frontier! FADE's current intended platforms are PS5, XBOX ONE, STEAM, AND PC. With this stretch goal we will have funding to expand to a port onto the Nintendo Switch 2. An endeavor we believe in, as it is confirmed to support FADE's special version of raytracing.

WHAT IS FADE ABOUT?

FADE is an Dark Fantasy Action RPG that combines combat inspired by the “Souls Series”, the narrative direction of FABLE and a plot inspired by Full Metal Alchemist.

THE STORY AND THE JOURNEY AHEAD

In FADE players will be tasked with exploring the settlements of Celeste, Solemn, Whisper, and The Baltane Capital in order stop the 5 Homunculus Leaders, each with their own unique spin on alchemy and combat sharing a destructive plot to sacrifice the country. 

 FADE has a fast paced, stamina based combat system with a heavy emphasis on  weapon weight. In combat the player can attack, dodge, roll, and parry their opponents moves, classic capabilities found in souls-like games with its own unique touches.

WEAPON SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Each weapon comes with a weapon skill representing the style of culture it is derived from. The Ugarians come from the barbaric north so their weapon skills are brutish and brutal, while a Baltaen weapon skill may be fast and aggressive.

MELEE AND MAGIC  BLENDED COMBAT

Melee combat revolves around managing stamina, using unique weapon skills and the skillful usage of blocks, parries, magic and finishers. In Baltane aura manipulators imbue magic weapons with powerful spells, allowing you to blend magic into any melee encounter. 

Each weapon type has it's own benefits on the battlefield with differing attack speeds, stagger weight, and parry speeds.

ARCHERY

In Baltane, weaponsmiths and craftsmen make arrows of all sorts. Piercing, Blunt-tipped, poisonous, and even explosive. While using powerful bow skills, players can enact malicious ranged assaults on foes out in the wild or in boss arenas.

In addition to different arrow options, different bows have different weapon skills that modify your shots for bonus damage, knockback, and special effects that drastically change fights.

DIALOGUE NPCS AND SIDE QUESTS

Apart from the main story NPCS and companions, the hero will meet many unique characters on their journey. Many of Baltane's residents will need the player in different ways. It's up to the hero to decide how they choose to interact in their lives.

LEVELING UP AND STATS

Fade's gameplay focuses heavily on its stats system. Raising your stats to higher levels can open new dialogue options, reveal secrets, increase your survivability, and enact special effects when using magic weapons. Collect Aura from enemies and spend the powerful energy on improving your stats by leveling up. This can be done at AURA MANTLES which also act as the primary way to fast travel, checkpoints if you fall in battle and help refill your Aura Flask, your primary healing item.

AURA FLASK CUSTOMIZATION

As the player explores Baltane, they'll discover more Aura Flasks and even find methods to improve their potency by defeating bosses or completing relic dungeons.

REWARDING EXPLORATION WITH ARMOR AND RARE ACCESSORIES

Scattered across Baltane are interesting items once kept close by Baltane's illustrious residents. Each of these items has benefits to the player and can help you cater your gameplay to your preferred playstyle.

Additionally FADE's armor sets are all area and faction specific, meaning some can be bought in certain places, some can only be acquired by completing certain accolades or side quests and others you'll have to trek to difficult locations to earn them.

THE MYSTERY OF DAEDULUS DOORS

 Inspired by Demon Doors in the legendary RPG Fable, Daedalus doors act as ways to uncover legendary weapons and unique armor sets. Invented by a long forgotten wizard cursed with Agoraphobia, Daedalus Doors are used by some of the most illustrious figures in Baltane to hide their secrets, rare trinkets and unique armor.

THE MUSIC

Fade utilizes a combat based music system that changes the musical tone based on location and whether or not enemies are near. By checking a few variables the music system switches from peaceful exploration music, to aggressive and suspenseful tones.

HAPTIX an impressive motion capture studio which is Michigan's first commercial motion capture studio. Their professionalism and talent has made making new cutscenes efficient and provides a great deal of quality quickly. Fade from the start has had a large emphasis on telling compelling stories which is why I've made sure to always look for up and rising voice talents to help populate FADE's world. Below here are few of our most notable.

• HERO OF REALMS TIER - In Celeste a young sorcerer is obsessed with using magic to create pocket dimensions and worlds for he and his friends to face challenges. A game he calls "Trap doors and Demons". Act as his game master and design 1 of 5 bosses that may be his demise or your triumph.

• HOHENHEIM TIER - Get a full physical copy of FADE: "Shattered Fate" A tabletop I developed while working on FADE to construct plot lines and test boss concepts. Within you'll find a survival tabletop game revolving around not only fighting powerful enemies, but deck building. With our own original tabletop RPG.

FADE: SHATTERED FATE THE TABLETOP RPG

Shattered Fate is what happens when you take classic Dungeons and Dragons mechanics, a modification of hearthstones combat system, and some inspiration from base defense RPGS. Built entirely using FADE's world and stories, it is an rpg for up to 4 players, designed to simulate not only facing threats, but protecting the world around you from peril.
