Le tag « Jeu de plateau » est trop générique : il sera retiré. Jusqu'à 3 tags du site. Le tag STL retire la fiche du catalogue (fichier 3D, pas un jeu). Ensuite plus de modification ici : un mauvais tag se signale.

Bring  Medb, the most famous battlemage in the company to life in your collection with this handsculpted 28mm resin miniature replete with Gaelic Irish and Classical Greek imagery.

The Story of Medb

Medb, the queen of the battlefield and the avatar of Morrigan. She whose gaze is death, whose voice is thunder and whose banner is victory.

Medb is the uncontested mistress of the battlemages who serve in the company and the price of her service is such that there are those who call her the queen of gold.
Her power is such that her presence can swing the balance of a battle and unsettle the plans of any general. She serves most often in the chasm battling the forces of Lúdgh whom she loathes with a bottomless, fathomless hate. None know why for Medb is slow to speak of herself or to tell her tales, preferring deeds to words.

Medb has many titles of respect and admiration within and without the ranks of the company, and widely to many people across Túath. She is the Queen of Battle, the Dancing Star, the Maiden of Ravens and the most powerful battlemage of her time. She goes everywhere wearing her purple and gold edged cloak which remains pristine and untouched by any dirt or blade thanks to a miniscule expenditure of magical effort.
Her armour is silvered and gilt, the brooch which pins the cloak to her maille collar a legacy from her time spent fighting in the chasm. She is wealthy and unafraid to demonstrate that wealth in her own gear and the gear of her bodyguard. Her long winding legend of gold and steel died in the chasm, so it is said, fighting to the last alongside her bodyguards against a party of formoraic and sídhe warriors of unmatched ferocity and cunning.
The truth of the rumour has often been questioned as the cloak of emerald and gold is seen frequently across the battlefields of Túath, wherever the forces of the company draw steel against their worst foes the Sídhe.

The concept art for Medb

The Design of Medb

While Famous By Our Swords is a proudly miniature agnostic game system that puts player creativity in the front and center of the design ethos we have designed a number of bespoke characters as part of the ongoing development of the lore. We have already seen Horatius Sídhe-Slayer, Cécathach the God-Touched and Aías the Swan Prince with his retinue. Medb is the latest of these characters that we are bringing to life as an exquisite hand sculpted miniature, created by the extremely talented Talos Miniatures. The sculpting has been completed and the details of the design are beautifully rendered.

Medb is replete with imagery that blends Gaelic Ireland and Classical Greece, the ravens sculpted into her greaves and as the capstone of her magical staff call to mind Morrigan the goddess of war, the gorgon on her shoulder is another potent symbol of female power over life and death. The rock from which she is raising herself aloft is modelled on the spiral carvings found at Newgrange in Ireland, referencing an ancient and unknowable source for her powers. We have been careful to design the armour to be functional, expressive of her high status and sympathetic to her feminine form without sexualising or stereotyping the design in any way.

The concept, design, sketches, sculpting and production of Medb have all been done by human hands. This project is firmly anti-AI either for art, design, writing or anything else.

I have had many questions about why I chose to pursue hand-sculpting instead of digital, I feel that there is a certain 'spark' to a model created by hand which makes the painting process much more engaging. The details are also crisp, striking and yet paintbrush friendly. For this reason I am delighted to have the pleasure to work with Talos Miniatures again to bring another character to life.

Rewards Explained

Medb: €20 this backing means you want to purchase a single copy of medb for your collection. You can add on other minis or another copy of Medb as an additional reward for the prices specified.

Medb Painted: €150 this backing means you would like me to paint your copy of Medb to the same standard as my other FBOS painted characters. Typically I would spend about 20 hours on such a figure, for this reason there is a very low availability at this tier.

Add-ons: You can add on any of the existing FBOS characters for sale or either of the two published books.
