WHAT IS FUNTIME FRANK'S?

FUNTIME FRANK’S was a very popular entertainment chain in the 80s, specialising in family fun and animatronic production. In the 90s, the company faced bankruptcy due to competition and an unforeseen tragedy caused by a malfunction in its animatronics; as a result, every brick-and-mortar location was permanently closed, and the chain disappeared and was forgotten.

A true example of lost media.

FUNTIME FRANK'S FAMILY FACILITY is sometimes abbreviated as the acronym FFFF.

WHAT IS FFRI & ITS MANDATE?

FFRI is the acronym for the FUNTIME FRANK'S REVIVAL INITIATIVE, which is an ongoing initiative. Their current project is to compile all content from the seemingly long-forgotten chain of family entertainment facilities (ephemeral or otherwise), and re-establish and revitalise the franchise in some capacity. 

To date, only a partially complete 1983 to 1988 Employee Handbook has been found. What remains of the publication has been successfully digitised; hopefully, more content will be available in the future.

At the moment, the initiative is focused on producing an authentic reproduction of the Employee Handbook rather than a simple digitised document. 

At the time of this campaign's launch, the publication is nearly complete.

• The cover is printed in Full-Colour on 100+ lb. cover stock.
• The internal pages are printed in full colour and on 70+ lb. paper stock. 
• Available in both PDF and Printed Book formats.

• Instructions regarding managerial and employment opportunities through the Employee Of The Week program — provided that the employee survives.

The Employee Handbook was originally produced in the 80s, before the rise of Artificial Intelligence, who knew back then that SKYNET would be close to a real thing. Humans created the original version with the aid of animatronics, while this reproduction was created solely by humans.

This project is a work of fiction that portrays itself otherwise; yes, this Kickstarter is to help produce an Employee Handbook, but it is not an actual Employee Handbook, rather it is a rulebook/instruction manual for a tabletop roleplaying game of the same name, where the player(s) take on the role of a security employee covering the night shift.
