Gamefound Awards 2026

Introduction

The Gamefound Awards return for another year. We've prepared six categories, each built around what matters most to backers. Every category has a shortlist of nominees, chosen based on data and, in some cases (like Artwork of the Year), the personal taste of the Gamefound team. Now we need your help to pick the winners.

Voting runs from October 2 through October 9 (EOD CEST). Every vote counts! The awards will be presented at this year's Essen SPIEL. To keep things fair, we're recognizing campaigns that both started and completed the crowdfunding phase between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2026.

Categories

Pick your favorites in each of the six categories. Nominations were based on data (highest number of backers, most comments, and so on) or on the Gamefound team's personal taste. Click any category to go straight to its voting page.

Campaign of the Year

The main prize. The must-back campaign that delivered a stunning game from start to finish.

Debut of the Year

A first-time creator who came in and exceeded every expectation.

Community Engagement of the Year

The project that got everyone talking, built real excitement, and kept you coming back to the comments.

Project Page of the Year

A page that is clear, concise, and visually striking in both Light and Dark mode. This is how it should be done.

Most Creative Use of Features

For campaigns that stood out with clever Stretch Goals, Endgame, or other mechanics nobody else was using.

Artwork of the Year

Art, theme, and presentation that made you stop scrolling. A true work of art.
