—description du concepteur

How It Works

A simple and secure stacking system allows quick set-ups of the 3 inch cubes and accessories in various configurations for different scenery layouts every single game.

Each building size is offered in a selection of designs to match your ideal industrial sci-fi aesthetic. It's easy to create mining facilities, research outposts, terraforming operations, connecting gantries systems and industrial towers.

Based on a 3 inch cube layout, combine different shaped buildings and stack-able elements to discover your own table set ups, or follow the detailed guides provided.

The additional stretch goal models and choice of add-ons expand the design features and build opportunites even more! (see stretch goals below)

By strategically placing the terrain features, such as elevated vantage points, line of sight blocking, barriers and cover you can easily enhance game play and modify your set up for multiple games and table sizes. NO CLIPS OR GLUE are needed for this terrain set!

Integrate With Other Sets

Use this set as standalone terrain, or expand your battlefield by combining it with other sets from our range. All Grid City sets are directly compatible! These include Grid City and Grid City: Gothic.

This set can also be integrated into many parts of our Assault Series Terrain (including DarkHyve Assault) and our Flatline City Buildings using the relevant integration kits.

Combine any of the Grid City sets into our Assault Series range - INCLUDING DARKHYVE ASSAULT!
Grid City (shown above) integrates seamlessly with Grid City: Industro
Grid City: Gothic (shown above) also integrates seamlessly with Grid City: Industro
Grid City: Gothic includes a selection of integrated smoke effects

Flatline City Buildings can be integrated with Grid City via the integration kit shown here or included in the Grid City add-on.

This integration kit allows you to vertically combine 3 inch & 6 inch cubes from Grid City with Standard and Half-Sized Buildings from Flatline City (See more about Flatline City here).

Easy to Paint - Tutorial

(Tutorial by Alex - The Saucerman)

Sponge painting might be my new favorite way to get a ton of terrain painted fast!

I painted the entire set you see here in just 8 hours, including priming, using this technique for the main colors. All you need is a basic cleaning sponge, some craft acrylics and a few minutes.

Here’s my process:

1. I start with the terrain primed in dark brown, then choose a few colours for the main sections. For this build, I’m starting with a bluish grey.

2. I load up a small piece of sponge with paint, then lightly dab it across the raised sections. This gives you surprisingly good coverage while leaving plenty of the darker primer showing through for instant contrast.

3. I switch to a much lighter cream/grey and sponge this on more lightly, focusing on the areas that would naturally catch the light.

4. Next, I move onto the secondary colour sections I want to make orange and use exactly the same technique which gives you a lot of depth with very little effort.

5. Once the main colours are down, I switch to a regular no.4 brush and pick out the bolts, panels and other metallic details.

6. I go back to the grey sections with a brush and add a few small orange accents to break things up and tie the colours together.

7. Finally, I grab some turquoise and pick out signage, feature details and the windows. Keeping the same colour across different areas helps bring the whole set together.

I’m really loving the contrast you can get from sponge painting, especially on 3D printed terrain. It’s incredibly quick and gives you a great textured finish without needing to be particularly precise.
