Welcome to the Weird West!
Gunsmoke & Dread is a Weird West cosmic horror roleplaying game built for the Daggerheart SRD 2.0.
Ride into a frontier of gunslingers, outlaws, isolated settlements, abandoned mines and ancient horrors waiting beyond the firelight.
This is a world where courage does not mean being without fear. It means moving forward despite it — knowing that every choice may carry a price.
The Quickstart Is Only the Beginning
The free Quickstart gives you your first glimpse of the frontier.
But Gunsmoke & Dread goes much further.
The full game expands that first experience into a complete Weird West horror campaign, with new character options, original mechanics, adversaries, GM tools, persistent consequences and nine interconnected volumes of adventure.
Over the coming weeks, we'll begin opening those doors — without spoiling what waits behind them.

The full game will explore new ways to build, develop and scar characters shaped by the Weird West — and by the things they encounter beyond it.
We'll begin revealing the full character options during the pre-launch.
Nine Volumes. One Descent into the Nameless Dark
Gunsmoke & Dread contains a connected nine-volume campaign designed to carry characters across the frontier and progressively deeper into supernatural and cosmic horror.
Each volume has its own identity, locations, conflicts and mysteries — while the consequences of earlier choices continue to follow the characters.
We'll reveal the campaign piece by piece throughout the pre-launch.
We'll show you the frontier. We won't tell you what's buried beneath it.
Would You Take the Devil's Hand?
Failure doesn't always have to remain failure.
Sometimes something offers you another way.
The Devil's Hand is an original optional system built around temptation, certainty and debt. When the Hand opens, the player is offered choices — and accepting one may turn failure into success.
But nothing offered by the Devil is free...

The frontier is inhabited by far more than outlaws.
