Fight for the Nine Provinces
The empire is divided into nine important regions:
- Jingzhou
- Sizhou
- Yongzhou
- Youzhou
- Jizhou
- Xuzhou
- Yangzhou
- Yizhou
- Liangzhou
Each region has its own strategic value, income, and battlefield conditions.
Control important territories to gain immediate rewards and long-term advantages.
Winning a campaign allows you to place your influence in that region, gain Victory Points, and collect future regional income.
Dynamic Campaign Battles
Every round brings new conflicts across the empire.
A Campaign-Deciding Card determines the battlefield conditions, showing which attributes and military strengths will decide victory.
Players choose whether to enter each campaign and secretly deploy:
- 1–2 General Cards
- 1–2 Soldier Cards
Then all forces are revealed.
Victory is decided by comparing:
- Knowledge
- Strategy
- Military Command
- Infantry Combat Power
- Archer Combat Power
- Cavalry Combat Power
The player who wins the most categories claims the campaign.
Terrain Changes the Battlefield
Every region has unique strategic characteristics.
Rivers, cities, and terrain conditions influence how battles are fought.
Players may deploy special equipment:
River Regions
Use powerful Warships to gain an advantage.
City Wall Regions
Deploy Siege Engines to break enemy defenses.
Equipment adds additional categories during campaign resolution, creating new tactical possibilities.
Build Power Beyond the Battlefield
Victory is not achieved through armies alone.
Develop your faction through:
- Resource management
- Political influence
- Clan reputation
- Strategic upgrades
Improve your military capabilities, increase storage capacity, strengthen your armies, and prepare for future campaigns.
Every Round Creates New Choices
Each round players must decide:
- Which generals to recruit
- Which resources to pursue
- Which provinces to challenge
- When to commit their armies
- When to save their strength for future battles
The game lasts 16 rounds, and the player with the highest Victory Points becomes the ruler who shapes the future of the empire.
Simple Gameplay Overview
1. Develop Your Faction
Gain resources and improve your military power.
Recruit generals, upgrade your armies, and prepare for future conflicts.
2. Take Actions
Players compete for different actions:
- Recruit soldiers
- Acquire resources
- Purchase equipment
- Upgrade military abilities
- Obtain treasures
Each decision affects your future strategy.
3. Choose Your Battles
When campaigns begin, decide where to compete.
You do not need to fight every battle.
Choose carefully:
- Fight for valuable provinces
- Avoid unfavorable conflicts
- Save powerful generals for decisive moments
4. Resolve Campaigns
Deploy generals and armies.
Compare battlefield attributes.
Use terrain advantages, equipment, and special abilities.
The strongest strategy wins.
5. Expand Your Influence
Capture regions, gain rewards, complete missions, and increase your reputation.
The player who combines wisdom, military strength, and political influence will rise above all rivals.
