Step into the role of a spooky real estate agent responsible for finding the perfect accommodations for ghouls, goblins, ghosts, warlocks, and other unusual visitors. Roll the dice to discover which ghostly clients have arrived, then assign your guests to the locations that best suit their supernatural needs. Earn points by matching each character’s unique preferences with the point values and special features of the available locations. At the end of the game, the agent with the most points becomes the spookiest—and most successful—supernatural real estate agent in town!

The game is brought to life with artwork created by a real artist, with no AI-generated artwork used in the game. The inspiration for Haunted Hotels came from my family’s love of Halloween. My wife, Samantha-Jo “Sage,” absolutely loves the season, and all of our children quickly became fascinated with its costumes, characters, decorations, and playful scares. I also love family-friendly spooky movies such as Hotel Transylvania, Hocus Pocus, Hubie Halloween, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Coraline. That fun mixture of comedy, monsters, and Halloween magic helped inspire the world of Haunted Hotels. The game is packed with monster puns, silly character names, and playful nods to spooky pop culture. It is bound to make you say “hehehe” at least once! Every location also includes a humorous description explaining exactly why a particular monster would be dying to stay there. Meet Some of Our Ghostly Guests

 Welcome to the World of Haunted Hotels Welcome to our spooktacular town! The haunting season is upon us, and visitors are arriving from every dark corner of the supernatural world. Ghouls, goblins, ghosts, witches, and warlocks have traveled into town for the festivities—and every one of them needs a place to stay. Unfortunately, the town’s real estate agents are in complete shambles. It is up to you to find the perfect accommodations for every visiting monster. Check them into caves, hotels, graves, haunted ships, and other eerie locations filled with amenities designed to make their stay truly unforgettable. The season also attracts some of the supernatural world’s biggest celebrities. These famous monsters are must-have clients for any agent hoping to become the talk of the town. But beware—it is not all fun and spooky games. Monster hunters have arrived, and they are determined to ruin the festivities, frighten away your guests, and send your carefully planned bookings straight to the graveyard. Can you keep your guests happy, outsmart the monster hunters, and become the most successful spooky real estate agent in town? It is time to open the doors, welcome the spirits, and prepare for a frighteningly fun stay at Haunted Hotels. The player count, age range, and playtime can be added once those details are finalized.

Setting up

Start by separating the monsters into their respective types: Mummies, Zombies, Creatures, Ghosts, Vampires, and Magical Beings. Then, create a pile for the haunted locations. Shuffle all piles respectively. Finally, choose somebody to start the game (as this is a turn-style game).

How to Play

Roll the 6 custom dice to figure out which monster cliental you will be working on for this round.

Each side of the dice corresponds to a monster type. For each die that you rolled, reveal the top card from the matching monster type pile. These are the 6 monsters you will be focusing on this round.

Each location has specific monster types associated with it. You can complete a room by assigning the total number of correct monster types to the room. In the example below, the Evil Lab requires 1 Zombie, 2 Magical Beings, and 1 Creature. You cannot collect the room for yourself unless you complete it fully.

Alternatively for your turn, you can store some monsters and reroll on your next turn.

On top of normal monster cards, there are Monster Hunters and Celebrities. Monster Hunters directly interfere with assigning monsters to locations.

Celebrity Monsters offer additional effects and actions to help you during the game.
