HEKATE: Witch’s Wheel of Crossroads

ONE ORACLE. 100 ANSWERS.
A double-sided spinning oracle, cast in solid brass and created to seek Hekate’s guidance at life’s crossroads.

What is a Witch’s Wheel

‘Witch’s Wheel’ Spinning Oracles are finely crafted, unique divination tools. That are easy to use to bring you quick answers and guidance to your questions. As they swirl and spin, their hypnotic, spiral dance draws in your focus as you reach out to the Divine with your question.

Simply set it spinning, with a flick of your fingers. Then allow it to come gently to rest on a spinning board, which will show you the answer, or bring it to a stop with your finger or another non abrasive tool … pointing to the answer.

They are designed to be popped in your pocket, so you can consult your oracle at any time, no matter where your day takes you.

Hekate’s Wheel

WHAT IS THE WITCH’S WHEEL OF CROSSROADS?
At its heart it’s a beautifully simple idea.
Ask a question. Spin one side of the Wheel. Turn it over and spin the other.

Each side reveals a number from 0 to 9. Bring the two numbers together and they become one of 100 possible results, from 00 to 99, leading you to a corresponding message in the guide.

Two spins. Two numbers. One hundred possibilities.

My earlier Wheels were created around simple, immediate answers.
For an oracle dedicated to Hekate, I wanted to explore what might happen if a Witch’s Wheel could speak with a much wider, more subtle voice.

So with time and contemplation, I found a way to expand beyond the space restraints of a single surface, to now hold 100 answers within its circumference.

Answers conceived for crossroads in all their forms: choices, changes, beginnings and endings, uncertainty and possibilities. The moments when something has shifted beneath your feet and you are questioning ... what now, what next?
▪️Some illuminate.
▪️Some challenge.
▪️Some encourage.
▪️Some offer perspective.
▪️Some invite you to look deeper.

Product specifications: Your Hekatean Witch’s Wheel is made out of solid brass, with a lustrous antique finish. It is 50mm (approx. 2 inches) in diameter and the main body is a juicy 3mm thick, with the spinning points protruding an additional 1mm on each side.

It comes in sturdy pocket size packaging: a thick card-stock tuck box and heavy weight paper for the foldout guide.

The Torchbearer pendulum has been created to work with the pendulum board and echoes the style of Hekate’s Witch’s Wheel. The pendulum depicts Mother Hekate in Her triple form. It is double sided, with Her holding torches on one side, and a snake and key on the other.

It is made of solid brass with an antique finish. The pendulum comes on a medium length chain, to allow you to also wear it as a pendant. Thereby effortlessly carrying Her with you, wherever you go.

Your Torchbearer Pendulum is 50mm (approx 2 inches) long, 18.7mm wide and 2mm thick. It comes with a 55cm (21.65 inch) brass chain.

The  Strophalos Divination Board is made out of a light coloured bamboo, with a black crescent moon and stars design printed onto it. The board is 95mm (approx 3.75 inches) in diameter, and a sturdy 5mm thick.

The spinning board on one side and a pendulum board on the other, with a ‘Hekate’s Wheel’ symbol in the centre. The spinning board side is printed with a decorative pointer, allowing you to spin your oracle, ask your question and allow the energy around it to slowly bring it to a stop, giving you the answer.

On the pendulum board on the back, there is: Yes, No, Maybe and Unclear.

Project Timeline

The ideal anticipated* timeline is as follows:

•  6 October  - 5 November : Kickstarter campaign.

•  Late November : Kickstarter transfers funds, go ahead given to Wheel, Pendulum and Board manufactures.

•  December - Mid January : manufacturing of Wheels, Pendulum and Boards. Holiday season so, delays are possible.

• February - Early March : Wheels delivered to printer, and printing of boxes begins, and Wheels packed into boxes

• April : Shipping begins. Depending on the number of backers, fulfilment could take around a month, and international rewards can take 2-4 weeks to arrive after shipping. This timeframe only applies to backers who promptly fill out their survey and shipping form, before the deadline for the first round of fulfilment. If the survey isn’t in by the cut off date, it will be delayed till the second round of fulfilment about a month later.

* This is in an ideal situation. As we have discovered over the last few years, any number of global events can throw a spanner in the works. So, while the above is my ideal goal timeline, unforeseen things might occur to delay either the start of fulfilment or packages journey times.

IMPORTANT Shipping Information

The Shipping will be charged AFTER the campaign in a Pledge Manager.

Please remember, it is very important that all backers fill in their surveys in a timely manner, as fulfilment takes place as a whole and it might be very difficult to get you your rewards many months or even years after the project is shipped ( yes, I've unfortunately had people fill in a survey years after the completion of a campaign ). Kickstarter locks all backer information one year after the estimated shipping date, and I will not have access to your survey after that.
