Hi, I’m Emma.

Over the past few years, I’ve been involved in bringing hundreds of tarot decks to life, while continually observing how different creators tell stories about women, growth, and destiny. But what truly led me to create Her Witch was not the market. It was my own life.

Somewhere along the way, I began to see myself more clearly, and to see women more deeply as well. I saw women across history, and women living within the rigid frameworks of modern society.

To be honest, I didn’t truly see myself clearly until I was 28. I married at 21, became a mother at 23, and entered the workforce at 24. By 28, I finally felt that I was beginning to understand who I really was. I stumbled, learned, and kept moving forward. And now, I have entered the 33rd year of my life.

I began to recognize my own courage, desires, abilities, sensitivity, and vulnerability. Every thought, every experience, every passion, and my unique understanding of life’s many questions have all been woven into the soul of this tarot deck.

Of course, this design was not created by me alone. Our creative team is made up entirely of women, all born in the 1990s, each bringing rich and diverse life experiences. Among us, some have never been in a romantic relationship; some are navigating life after divorce; and some are building a beautiful, stable partnership.

Though our paths differ, we share a deep common bond. Through in-depth conversations about imagery and expression, we poured our collective, lived experiences into this deck: the laughter, the wounds, and the shared wisdom of modern women.

Her Witch of Flaming Magic Tarot features an all-female cast. While rooted in the familiar language of the Rider–Waite–Smith (RWS) system, its imagery does not always rely on literal counts of suit symbols, such as seven wands, eight cups, or nine pentacles.

Instead, each card unfolds as a complete visual scene.

For readers already familiar with RWS, this creates more space for intuitive interpretation. Beginners may find it a little challenging at first, but trust the imagery. It will guide you. Rather than relying on mechanical memorization, you can gradually learn to observe more deeply, reflect more freely, and discover what the cards are revealing to you.

Beyond its all-female imagery, this deck is also a celebration of the immense magic that women carry within. As we grow, many of us gradually begin to recognize that this power has always been there. Yet for generations, much of it has been overlooked, quieted, or left unnamed.

Here, we bring it into the light:

Courage: Not a reckless charge, but the quiet strength to face life as it is, choose to take responsibility, and protect the people we love.

Desire: The flame of life: the drive to create, to want, to pursue, and to change the world around us, along with the courage to begin again and again.

Resilience: A strength as enduring as the earth. After weathering storms, we heal, grow, and bloom once more.

Sensitivity: Never a weakness, but a heightened gift that allows us to notice subtle changes, trust our intuition, and experience empathy more deeply.

Connection: Even in hardship, no witch needs to walk alone. Women are not strong because they stand alone, but because we can hold a light for one another and help each other find the way forward.

“Flaming Magic” symbolizes the fire of transformation and rebirth.

When this deck comes into your hands, I hope it will be more than a work of art. I hope it will become a key. When you turn over a card, I hope you see more than a witch or a goddess. I hope you see the power that has always lived within you, waiting to be recognized and given a name.

May we each truly see ourselves in every moment.

My deepest hope is that women can come to know themselves earlier in life, so that we can begin our journeys sooner, embrace more possibilities, and explore a wider world and a fuller, richer life.

Traditional guidebooks tend to focus on giving you answers.

We would rather ask better questions.

That is why every card begins with observation and questions, rather than offering a conclusion right away.

Meaningful divination is not about someone else telling you the answer. It is about finding your own answer through reflection. This is not an encyclopedia of card meanings to memorize, but a companion: a “Her” who walks beside you.

Every page is built around observation, reflection, and action, helping you understand your emotions, patterns of behavior, and the lessons unfolding through your life. We invite you into a conversation with yourself.

Through our own experience with tarot, we have come to believe that its greatest value lies not so much in predicting the future, but in helping us see ourselves more clearly.

The choices we make and the actions we take in the present are what shape our future.

The same philosophy also shaped the way we designed the cards themselves.

Her Witch does not always depict suit symbols in quantities that exactly match the card number.

For us, a card should first feel like a complete scene. The character’s actions and expressions, the environment, objects, distance, and light all work together to carry its meaning.

For experienced tarot readers, familiar numbers and suits can trigger an almost automatic set of associations. That experience is valuable—but sometimes it can also lead us to a conclusion before we fully notice what the image itself is telling us.

So we intentionally reduced the emphasis on fixed-count suit symbols in some of the Minor Arcana cards, inviting you to spend a little more time with the image itself.
