Hike! Husky Meeples & New Expansion

If you are wondering about the name, Hike! is a command that mushers (dog drivers) use to start their teams. 🙂

The gameplay and components of the base game and the new expansion ( and obviously also the meeples :) ) are language-independent. The Events and Traits expansion has some English text on the cards.

The rulebook in the base game box is English, and we have the translations of the original rulebook available online in Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Serbian, Slovene and Spanish. Here.

The revised rulebook, included in this campaign will be in English, and we will work on offering more languges online in the future.

Secret Recipe, wich can be added as an add-on, also has language-independent gameplay and components. The rulebook translations can be found here.

✉️ Shipping and Timeline

Shipping will be charged after the campaign. We ship worldwide.

If you wish to receive just the new rulebook, the shipping is around 4€ anywhere in the world. For all the other pledges, the shipping estimates are:

EU: VAT is included. Ships from within EU.
US: If the tariffs stay at approximately where they are, they are included in the price. If something crazy happens, we will monitor it and adapt to find a good solution, which could be just delaying the shipping until the tariffs are back to normal.
CA and AU: Customs-friendly shipping.

Note that the shipping will be charged after the campaign and that the given rates are estimates. In both our previous campaigns, the shipping was either as estimated, or we were able to get better prices, especially for areas with more backers.

🏂 Who We Are

SnowBoardGames is an independent board game publishing studio from Slovenia, Europe. We launched and fulfilled our first game, Hike!, on Kickstarter in 2022 with the help of 3451 backers who helped us raise almost €120,000. 

We strive for immersive mechanics, great art and quality components, and we believe in a bigger game in a smaller box – without fancy inserts and half-empty boxes – to save your shelf space and optimise the shipping. We manufacture most of our games and game components in Europe.

Hi, we are Nika and Blaž, designers of Hike! and co-founders at SnowBoardGames.

Nika Mlinarič Hribar is a physicist with experience in the aviation industry, working as a researcher in the field of numerical simulations. Blaž Hribar is a civil engineer who specialises in creating indoor spaces optimised for the user. We are working in science and engineering from Monday to Thursday, and running SnowBoardGames on Fridays and rainy weekends. We are an active couple who enjoy board games, climbing, mountaineering and exploring the outdoors.

Paulina Wach is a concept artist and illustrator from Poland who specialises in portraits and animal drawings. She loves Polish folklore arts. She is the author of the gorgeous illustrations that bring Hike! to life.

Hande Koçhan is an illustrator from Turkey. She combines references from abandoned buildings and plants in her illustrations. She likes journaling, indie games, collecting and working on miniature sketchbooks in her free time. She is the designer who translated the husky characters into the awesome engraved meeple designs.
