I Heart The 80’s Tarot Pt 2
Par Christy Plummer Reynosa
Statut actuel
These are Print Ready, meaning i have already approved the flat sheet proofs from the printers. I am showing you my Prototype of the actual deck and box you will be receiving. If the campaign is successful, Kickstarter sends funds 2 weeks after the end of the campaign. Once it hits my bank account, I put my order in with the printers, Shuffled Ink. (Last time it was about a month in a half after payment for my decks to start printing according to their schedule)
With the I Heart The 80’s Tarot Pt 2, 2nd edition, I switched the card back and box images to the paint splatter and the cards front border is checkerboard. The cards have the same color scheme as in the 1st edition.
*Tier 1 is this campaign’s Pt 2 2nd edition Deck
* Tier 2 is both 1st and 2 edition as a set
Included are the deck of cards (78 tarot and 2 information cards), the 2 part box, my mini zine with common keywords.
They are printed in a Linen Finish on 310gsm cardstock and will come in a matte finish 2-part box with thumb holes. Card size is 2.75” x 4.75”. I put together a Mini Zine with a few common keywords for the cards. The Mini Zines are printed from my home on regular printer paper and will fit right in the box.
Just like the last deck, No AI is used. I use Procreate to color my cards and to draw in my 80’s icons in each card. Some match the meanings of the cards and others just fit well in the picture. A few debuted in another decade but were popular in the 80’s.
I am just a regular 51 year old gal who grew up in the 80’s with 3 older brothers who are also Gen-X.
Below are Information Cards front and back, the cards paint splatter back, The 2 part box with matte finish outside and inside, my mini zine with common keywords.
With my previous campaign with 111 backers. Once I received the decks I immediately started packaging them in the shipping boxes, print labels and take them to the post office. (That only took 2 days total). What helped was that I already had my goodie bags assembled and empty shipping boxes prepared. So depending on how many I have this time, I will be estimating my packaging time around that.
You have invested your time and money in my campaign and I take that seriously, so that is why I like to have everything worked out and ready. And most people do not like waiting for the creator to approve proofs and this or that. I feel more comfortable getting that out of the way before I launch my campaign. (I am not knocking down other creators that don’t do this stuff beforehand, but there is usually problems for this or that and backers are left waiting). This is why I do it the way I do :)
What i learned from my previous campaign is that International shipping costs and vat fees were pretty high. I paid for the shipping differences and vat fees if that option was available on my end when purchasing the shipping labels. But some did not give me the option and backers had to paid either after surveys were sent out or either when picked up at their post office. Please keep this in mind. France and Australia were the most expensive.
I have had a great experience with the printing company I will be working with, Shuffled Ink, which is located on the East coast in Florida. I am in North Carolina and I am confident and secured knowing they will be printing my decks. I am very pleased with their work on my previous deck.
July 2027 is an estimate for shipping out to you. I will keep you updated on delivery time when Shuffled Ink lets me know when they start printing according to their schedule.
