Do you like card games? Do you practice your evil laugh in front of the mirror? Then this might be the game for you!
My name is Matthew Kube-McDowell. I'm an engineer and an educator, and if you recognize my last name, you might not be surprised to learn that I dabble in writing. This past summer, I had an idea for a card game full of Saturday morning cartoon references and Dad-joke puns. Players would take on the roles of scenery-chewing villains, lay out a custom city, establish a secret lair, and weave a network of corruption to take over City Hall, while also manipulating the city's do-gooders into foiling their competition's schemes.
That game, I Would Have Gotten Away With It Too, is currently a playable alpha on hand-written cards, and it's received enough positive feedback that I want to have it professionally printed. I have a cleaned-up beta version ready to print through The Game Crafter, a logo of my own design, and an online home for the rulebook all ready to go. The biggest thing I'm missing, though, is art from an actual artist to help bring the villains and do-gooders to life.
That's where you come in, I hope! I'm raising funds for artwork, miscellaneous business expenses like copyright registration, and, of course, a first printed run of the game!
