Infested Buildings Series for Foundry VTT

Rellecta’s abandoned places do not remain empty for long.

Goblins have seized an old border tower. Undead corruption is spreading through a forgotten crypt. Mutated spiders haunt the halls of an isolated mansion. An entire village has been transformed into a deadly labyrinth.

Created by Toby Lancaster, designer of 2D6 Dungeon, and originally published by DR Games, the Infested Buildings Series contains four established D&D 5e adventures set in the world of Rellecta.

Hod Publishing is converting the complete series into four ready to run Foundry VTT modules.

At the £500 funding goal, all four adventures will be completed and released for Foundry VTT.

Each adventure can be played independently, introduced into an existing campaign, or combined with the other books to create a continuing journey through Rellecta.

The Foundry VTT Modules

Hod Publishing is adapting Infested Buildings Series into ready-to-run Foundry VTT modules. Our goal is to make the adventure easier to run online or at the table by preparing the content directly inside Foundry. The module is planned to include:

• Structured journal entries for the adventure text
• Integrated artwork and handouts
• Configured scenes for maps and locations
• NPCs and creatures prepared as Foundry actors
• Items, spells, and adventure content configured where supported by the system
• Roll tables configured
• Maps fully configured with walls, lights and more
• Navigation and usability improvements to help GMs run the adventure
• A visual presentation that respects the tone and style of the original book

The development screenshots on this page show the presentation currently being created for the first two modules.

Rewards

Choose one of the four Infested Buildings Series adventures as a complete Foundry VTT module.

There will be a separate reward for each adventure, making it easy to select the story and character level that best suits your group.

Receive all four Foundry VTT modules and take your characters through the complete Infested Buildings Series, from levels 1 to 6.

This reward contains the same four Foundry VTT modules as the standard complete series reward.

For the first 48 hours of the campaign, the complete four adventure bundle will be available for £26. This reward contains the same four modules as the standard complete series reward.

Add your name to the supporter credits included with the completed modules.

Names must follow our community guidelines and must be submitted before the deadline provided after the campaign.

You can also support the campaign without selecting a module by making a pledge without a reward.

The Kickstarter rewards contain the Foundry VTT modules only.

PDF editions, printed books and other editions of the original adventures are not included.

A Foundry VTT licence is required to install and use the modules.

The modules and their journals will be presented in English.

Stretch Goals

The project reaches it base goal. Backers can celebrate, as Infested Buildings Series becomes a reality!

When the campaign passes its initial goal and reaches £750, additional licensed atmospheric music will be added to the modules.

These tracks have already been licensed by Hod Publishing and will be selected to complement the locations and atmosphere of each adventure.

Each adventure receives one licensed atmospheric track selected for its location and infestation.

Four additional tracks are added, bringing the total to two tracks for each adventure.

Each unlocked track will be included with its corresponding module. Backers receiving the complete series will receive all unlocked tracks.

No AI-Generated content

The Infested Buildings Series was created by Toby Lancaster and the original book contributors.

The Foundry VTT modules are being developed by Hod Publishing without the use of AI-generated art, text, maps, or game content.

Only human-created artwork, writing, maps, creatures, items, spells, and setting material are being used for the Foundry VTT modules.

About Toby Lancaster and DR Games

Toby Lancaster is the creator of the Infested Buildings Series and the designer of 2D6 Dungeon. His adventures combine distinctive locations, exploration and escalating threats within the world of Rellecta.

DR Games is the original publisher of the Infested Buildings Series and the tabletop roleplaying games created by Toby Lancaster. The original adventures, writing and hand drawn maps come from the published DR Games books.

About Hod Publishing

Hod Publishing specialises in high-fidelity Foundry VTT adaptations for tabletop roleplaying games.

We build digital modules designed to make games easier to run, with structured journals, prepared scenes, configured actors, integrated handouts, rollable tables, automation where appropriate, and careful attention to the look and feel of the original book.

Across our work, we have developed 7 Foundry VTT game systems, currently maintain 5 additional systems, and have created almost 100 Foundry VTT modules. Why Kickstarter?

Kickstarter gives backers a direct way to support official Foundry VTT adaptations of already-released tabletop RPG books.

Many excellent books already exist in print or PDF, but adapting them into a ready-to-run Foundry VTT module requires focused development work. A campaign like this helps us evaluate the right scale for that work, while giving backers a clear way to support the adaptation directly.

It also gives us room to consider Foundry-specific improvements where possible. If the campaign receives strong support, we may be able to expand the module with additional digital features, polish, or usability improvements designed specifically for Foundry VTT.

The goal is intentionally modest. The original Infested Buildings Series already exists and is fully written and illustrated, and this campaign is digital-only, with no physical manufacturing, packaging, or shipping.

This is a chance to help bring the whole Infested Buildings Series to Foundry VTT, receive the module at a lower price than the planned store MSRP, and support a model that can make more official Foundry VTT adaptations possible in the future.

After creating nearly 100 Foundry VTT modules and working across multiple systems, Hod Publishing has built the experience, tools, and workflow needed to approach this project with confidence.

Pledge Manager, VAT & Module delivery

Around two weeks after the campaign ends, we will open the Pledge Manager. During the Pledge Manager, you will be able to increase your pledge and get additional rewards. Depending on your country, you may need to pay VAT taxes on the pledge manager.

Rewards will be delivered through Hod Publishing’s key distribution system, with delivery information sent directly to backers by email. Backers receiving an individual adventure will receive a key for that module. Backers receiving the complete series will receive one bundle key that unlocks all four adventures. The key can be activated through the backer’s account on the Foundry VTT website, after which the included modules can be installed through Foundry VTT.

Delivery Schedule

Development of the modules is already underway. We expect to deliver The Goblin Tower and The Zombie Crypt shortly after the Pledge Manager closes. The Spider Palace is expected to follow one month later, with The Minotaur Labyrinth expected one month after that.

These dates are estimates, and we will keep backers informed about our progress throughout development.
