I looked into the mirror and there wasn't anything there. And my buddy, he has the devil inside him that makes him crawl around on walls, looks down at people. And my other buddy, she says, she's worried about my soul. My soul? Ha! And Into the Night, that's the place for people like me. That's the place for people like you, too. But the hunger... it makes me so tired but I can't never sleep. Not really. Not again. And there is only so many rats I can eat. I need something Fresh. Something pure and real. And Into the Night, thats where we roam. I just want to do the best that I can with this extra time I have. I just want to do the best that I can for my friends. And Into the Night... that's where you can find us. That's where we are free.
Into the Night (ITN) is a table top role playing game (ttrpg) where players assume the roles of weirdos, forced to lurk in the shadows by society. It is designed to be easily adapted and converted to all your favorite goth-punk urban horror fantasy adventures and chronicles, or to be played as a brand new original story.
Hunt the herd to survive. Play shows and make art to live. Protect your neighborhood. Mask who you are or else hunters will come for you and your weirdo friends.
Into the Night started as a home brew hack of a game called CRUX. It was used as the engine for a story about vampires and their weird friends playing experimental music and protecting each other from bad things that lurk around the corner in Portland, OR . The idea evolved into a full setting and, eventually, I switched over to a rules light OSR-style engine after being inspired by games like Blood Starved and Liminal Horror, which offer the perfect balance (to me) of system and story. A few years later, and with a lot of encouragement, here we are!
The book is about 95% written and the art is in various phases of commission.
